Re: UK - Three Week Lockdown
Hi John.
Be OFF Black Spot.
500 police and 400 soldiers to keep you virus laden Melbourne's out of our clean State. Do you know how long we have had to put up with waiting for mad Gladys to get it right, and even now she doesn't know her backside from her elbow. swap you anytime.

Re: UK - Three Week Lockdown
It has got bad here in Melbourne no doubt about that.
We live right on the outer fringe past the airport by some 20 klm but still locked in by about half a kilometer.
But help may be at hand, the guy next door has just come home with a big tunnel digging tool we might get out.
Just in, NSW gov has banned all race horses from Victoria entering NSW for an indefinite period.
Understandable, they win a lot of NSW races.

Re: UK - Three Week Lockdown
Being reported this way by Auntie:
Amid a second wave of coronavirus, the entire city of Melbourne has just been ordered back into lockdown for six weeks.
But for 3,000 people living in public housing tower blocks, an even stricter lockdown was imposed on Saturday.
Unlike other Melburnians, residents of the nine towers cannot leave for any reason - they are subject to a police guard.
It's the toughest lockdown seen in Australia so far.

Re: UK - Three Week Lockdown
Thank you Vernon, we are in the middle of this and know far better than any cut and paste about what is occurring.
Road blocks, Police aircraft, drones all being used to ensure we all do the right thing.
But try spending six weeks locked up in your post code area, when it is over I will explain just what it does to people.
Bit on our news today from UK, according to some scientist working on the Virus it is begining to weaken.!!

Re: UK - Three Week Lockdown

Members around the world are most likely interested. I will leave all to the
expert but, as said am just concerned for my own rellies etc and all friends

Re: UK - Three Week Lockdown
WE live about 20Klm from the airport and are at the very fringe of the metropolitain area.
A town of about 42,000 and growing.
Two main roads leave out of town and onto the freeways.
But not for the next six weeks for us, we are confined to our postal code area as are all Melbourne.
Why, because our premier failed to follow the Federal advice on how to deal with the Virus.
He committed the crime, we do the time!!
At the beginning of the freeway, as is the case with all now, a Police blockade where you will be stopped and asked where you are going.
Valid reason then fine, if not you will be turned around but if they consider you to be suspect then you cop a $1650 fine.
So we will know in a couple of weeks how we are fairing.
Today another 280 tested positive, the largest one day total across the nation.

Re: UK - Three Week Lockdown
Your premier doesn’t come across very good on the telly John .These day’s one has to be a capable looking film star who can act the part of being a decisive person. I don’t follow too closely what they are all saying just do what the law says. This will either make or break a few pollies. Cheers JS.
