A fair few pubs this way are taking orders for food and drinks by phone,
payment taken and delivered to your door, there is no contact at your
door, they phone and tell you it is out side, and wait at a safe distance
to ensure you take it in.

Graham, Looks like a detox is on the cards for you and me, Having said that if my missis never saw a drink again it wouldn't bother her, She doesn't need the booze to detox I have just flicked through the papers online and she clocked this picture on my screen...…………………… OH She said what a good idea taking a turkey for a walk

Sorry, will have posted this twice, just seems appropriate
    in this thread also.

I never thought in my entire life my hands would consume
    more alcohol than my mouth.

Well, I am not going cold turkey just now, still got some stock from a while back in my garden shed.
I only go short if the weather is cold and wet and I don't fancy getting p-ssed thro nipping down the garden on a bad night; fortunately, my rum and whisky stock is in the house.

Keith @ T you could have corrected the spelling yourself and deleted the other post. Anyway I have done it for you as requested.

Quiet a few pubs here that have a bistro and bottle shop are providing take away meals and can also get a side order of what your tipple is as well. Wonder if MacDonalds will be getting a alcohol licence soon LOL. Mind you do not have to order food just get a few slabs of beer put in the boot on the way through hey
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.

#6... Tony any good trick cyclist will tell you that solo drinking is bad for mental health. There must be a few of us past that point by now. That was the reason supposedly for bringing drink back on to ships in the forms of bars.
Being more down to earth though I think it was to Stop cabin drinking and try and retain some public feeling on board. Also a safeguard against any drunken plotting of mutiny perhaps. Anyhow it went the full circle and is now back to zero tolerance on most ships. The real hard cases took to wardrobe drinking and had to smuggle their supplies on board. Cheers JWS.

McDonald's has revealed that all of its restaurants in the UK and Ireland will be closed by 7pm on Monday, March 23.

The American fast food chain announced the news on social media in a bid to fight the coronavirus pandemic, saying it was not "a decision we are taking lightly".

And the fast food chain plans to offer free food and drink to all frontline health and emergency service workers before the closures tomorrow evening. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/whats-...I8--i5O-N-NFyc
