Latest news is that here in Oz we now have a finger prick test for the Virus, similar to the one for sugar level tests.
Can get a result in 15 minutes rather than the 24 or so hours required before.
Great progress is being made here in Oz with a couple of our major labs.
An injectable antidote could be available by years end according to one scientist.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Just think of all the objectable diseases that one prick could have saved the worry and stress years ago. The Chinese crews I sailed with used to take handfuls of penicillin V tablets before going ashore . The worse thing they could have done as just hid the symptoms . Would have been much better standing at the top of the gangway with the needle and saying hey plick come and get your prick otherwise go into isolation. JS

RE: 209. This is just another Virus such as the annual Flu, Ebola, Avian Flu for which we now have antidotes.

Obviously, there must be two entirely different strains between Oz and GB, Here It’s causing significant disruption to people’s lives, health and livelihoods.

I posted a few weeks ago that this virus escaped from a lab in Wuhan.
Seems further details are emerging and if true China has a lot answer for.

#214... can’t open the advanceaustralia, it sounds a more feasible answer though . Will be surprised if the perpetrators to making such a virus will admit to it though. Biological warfare was supposedly banned worldwide. If it is man made they will have the antidote as was usual to make both. JWS

As said in an earlier post it was only time before all sorts of explanations would appear. If what is read has any truth in it , the various depts. of defence will be much further advanced in their investigations and the various departments of diplomacy will also be advanced in whatever they have to do. Believing as read will only cause further panic. If any country was found to be the cause of such and hiding it from the world in general they would become pariahs. Let the worlds governments and diplomacy handle it as necessary. Any other course of action would be catastrophic. We live in a deceitful world today , and flings ain’t what they used ter be. JS
