John, agree, arrive illegally lock up.
A few years ago the Dutch set up camps for illegals, they were told you will be fed, looked after, any problems deported without hesitation, here given the keys to the door.
On the NHS the Liberal left believe we shouldn't charge anyone that receives hospital services. Go abroad, fall I'll, let's see your health insurance, should do he same here.
Some NHS trusts are owed millions, it's a National Health Service not International.

It's perhaps worth remembering that if it was not for the "liberal left" - which you so obviously despise - then there would be no such thing as an NHS, national pension or a welfare state.

    Hi Jim.
My father, who was the local steel workers sec; and a strong unionist all his life; worked his tits off to get a hospital up and running in our small town, we used to have knocks on our door night after night with someone who had been injured in the steel works wanting him to sign papers . I have a picture of the hospital committee all the posh people in dark suits, and my dad who as I say worked his Bs off, in a tweed suit, the one he got married in standing out in the picture. I now think at least anyone seeing it would ask who was he then. The hospital was free and before the NHS.

There is a similar problem here in Oz with that of UK, lack of medical staff.
This is part of the problem why doctors close their doors, why hospitals cannot cope with the numbers.

I spent 14 years in the university system and saw the first entry of nurses into the system, training in hospitals ended here in 1985.
The problem is that the system is not attracting sufficient to meet the needs of today.
Nursing has one of the highest attrition rates of any uni course, and the schools of medicine where all our Doctors begin are struggling to attract enough.

Many say it is the wage structure that is the problem, nothing could be further from the truth, the fact is the younger generation have their sights set on other careers now.
Any form of medical training can take up to ten years, ten years many do not want to spend.

But that is only part of the problem regarding the subject of over population.
Many of the problems now evident in the UK go back to the end of WW2.

A shortage of workers in many fields saw the need for immigration.
Jobs many of the locals did not want, working on the London underground was one such task, saw immigrants from Jamaica, West Africa and other countries brought in.
Then the Indians and many more countries began to enter legally.
But they in turn encouraged family to join them, some came illegally and no doubt have been harbored by them.

Until such time as you cease to be captive to the arrogant regime of the Peoples republic of Brussles and are allowed to control who comes in, how and when the situation will continue.

Coming to Australia legally is now much harder than many years ago, we no longer take in convicts of any kind legally, though a few illegals have slipped through the borders.
To gain entry now you will have to have some form of guarentee of employment or sponsorship from a company of family member who will vouch for you. A refundable bond has to be put up before you can enter.

There are so many vacancies for skilled workers, many of which one would never imagine. There is for example a shortage of bakers and chefs, bricklayers, tilers, chippies and sparkies. Dunny divers for some reason are plentiful and they sure know how to charge.

How you overcome the situation in UK will be hard to achieve, without some form of, 'no more until numbers drop', will see the country under constant pressure to exist.

Then the situations such as I saw in parts of London with the beggars, many who come into town in early evening to their regular spot where thye sit with their bowl in the anticipation some one will feel sorry and make a donation.
In Edgeware Road on a July evening I saw a man who appeared almost crippled the way he walked and begged for money, funny thing was I saw the same guy next morning and overnight he had experienced a miracle as he now walked in a perfect manner.
Those donations must have been very special.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.

    Read your history.
NHS was proposed by the conservative party in the early years of WW2, but there was no money to fund it.
Labour used the funds supplied by USA to rebuild the country.

Even earlier than that Vic, the NHS was proposed by a Conservative Peer in 1937/8 and the Bill due to be read in the House of Commons in 1939, but was put on hold because of various Bills for war preparations. The Bill was re-opened in 1944 but in the next GE the labour Govt piggy backed it as one of their own proposals, very astute man that Enaurin Bevan, if not a little morally suspect and the myth continues.
