Doc Vernon, yes, same here in summer, but in the winter have always had a break from growing grass, until March at earliest. We have not seen one snow flake this year, there, now we are sure to get clobbered now !!, lol, kt

On our ABC tv news today:

"Last month has been named the hottest January in 141 years of recorded climate history, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration."

"The global land and ocean surface temperature in January was the highest on record for the month at 2.05 degrees Fahrenheit, surpassing a record set in 2016, NOAA scientists said in a press release Thursday. No land or ocean areas had record cold January temperatures."

Today Feb. 14th70 79 degrees F. forecast high for tomorrow 50 degrees F.

    Cheers, Rodney and not so

    Rodders, very informative.
But it was only last year when NASA said that over the past two years average global temps had dropped by 0.6 of a degree.

Couple of weeks ago scientists said that they considered the possibility of global temps remaining steady and even dropping.
All this on our new here in Oz.

Not wanting to sound like a sceptic but only 141 years is hardly any time at all.
We have same here in Oz when they say since records began, but many here did not begin in a reliable format until about 1900.

Last night in Boltonistan it was MINUS 4 degrees , Cars all white with frost,
I guess that is Global Warming,

Is Boltonistan the only place on the Planet with a Normal Climate, It is still winter it has had Snow for three days and frost.
The snow drops are showing above the snow, as they have always done for the last 57 years I have had my home here. next month the daffodils will be coming up.

There is too much talk about climate , They had people on TV with a Doctor yesterday, People are suffering FROM `ECO- ANXIETY,`AND ` `Mental Stress`. etc.

    What a load of Rubbish.
How do they think we went on in WW2, WHOLE CITIES BOMBED AND BURNING , NIGHT AFTER NIGHT, No sleep in shelters from the bombs, no food , house blown up, MOTHER BADLY INJURED IN HOSPITAL , DAD AWAY , HOUSE AND CONTENTS on fire , shops bombed , so no where to buy food with a ration book, BODY PARTS SCATTERED ACROSS THE RUBBLE IN THE STREETS OF FRIENDS AND NEIGHBOURS.
The whole world is turning into a bunch of whimps and pansies,
People should get a life instead of whinging. all day and all night , on TV , whinge whinge whinge about climate.

There I feel better for that.

I have seen nothing on Global cooling reported apart from the following.

The latest independent NASA and NOAA annual temperature announcements in February found that Earth's global surface temperatures in 2018 were the fourth warmest since 1880. According to NASA GISS, global temperatures in 2018 were 1.5 degrees Fahrenheit (0.83 degrees Celsius) warmer than the 1951 to 1980 mean. Globally, 2018 was cooler than the previous three years. Collectively, the past five years are the warmest years in the modern record.

Will take a look out of interest, thus far:

“Global cooling” describes a long term period during which the earth’s average temperature is cooling. Although the average global temperature was slightly lower in 2017 and 2018 than in 2016, these drops were not record breaking. Global temperatures tend to fluctuate from one year to the next and NASA data shows that overall global warming is occurring: the planet is getting hotter and hotter over time, and at a faster and faster pace.

    Seems correct.
