Guessed that as per your invitation, appreciated.

My holidays are pre booked and though it would have been
a great chance to actually get to know you, I would prefer
you to pay your road tax on your car, not wack out from
your MN pension on me etc.

Lovely gesture but, have seen much already including volcanoes
and tend to not revisit to often, always looking for something new
    apart from Ireland.

    Regret but C'est La Vie.

    Bon Voyage.

    Keith.

Oh yes Capt i would like to see that mate! LOL
    Cheers

And the Rains here just keep coming, now in our Fourth day of heavy stuff most all the Bush Fires around are now Rat---- ,which is so nice to know,on my Fire app all the little dots are disappearing !

Today again as i awake the Rain is pelting down, predictions are for very intense Weather Today especially on the Coast and slightly inland as far in as Springwood. Falls of some 250 mm predicted with Heavy winds ,high Seas and lots of Erosion on the Beaches, and large Wave swells.

But as said no complaints and as the Rains are also reaching futher inland, the Farmers are really happy. But a long way still for them and lots more Rain needed in the Outbacks!
Hopefully this good Rain here will Top up the Dams which are really needed.
So all i can say is Horaaah!!!!
    Cheers

There is talk in Queensland of building a new coal fired power station, but as yet no screams from the 'Greens'.
Amazingly the Labor opposition has said it will agree as long as no public money goes into it.

he 'Greens' though as we know are selective in what they blame climate change on, Bush fires yes, floods, cyclones off the coast of WA, storms in UK, not a bloody mention.

The new leader off them has said that the PM should be charged with murder over the recent Bush Fires.???????????????????????
    Happy daze John in Oz.

AS we are discussing weather in some depth, remember a trip homeward bound on the Scottish Prince when we were not far off the Tiber. Wind screaming and ship sliding stern first down some swells and everything in sight including an Orient Liner hove to, when Lisbon sent out a weather report forecasting 'gentle zephyrs". The radio was immediately inundated with replies in I believe some salty language, and shortly after a new report suggesting gale force wind immanent.

That radio station was known as 'Gentle Jesus' as nearly every weather report was gentle breezes, as like you say was pretty galling when being pushed sternways
