The electricity charges were ridiculous, I left them two years ago and got another company and it is now less than half of EDFs charges. I am saving £1,000 a year

Well Brian it must be a different set of tariffs between EDF France and EDF UK my electric bill for the last 12 months was €816.00. You are saving £1000 a year since switching from EDF ? Perhaps if Maggie had not privatised the Utility companies things like Gas, Electric and Water would be a lot cheaper seeing as there would be no share holders chasing the profits. Also the Utility companies would not be in the ownership of foreign hands.

Lewis, Maggie always envisaged that control of the Utility companies would be UK controlled and the Government had a Golden share which vetoed any unwanted takeover. In 2004 the EU
Commission declared the Golden share was illegal under EU rules.
Take a look at yesterdays news lads, Sydney in OZ Has never seen weather like it totally unprecedent, Fire and Rain storms definitely down to global warming heaven knows what the next few months will bring us Terry.
