John that same politician who didn’t understand the difference between climate and weather , it’s a pity someone didn’t ask him at what state the earth was at present in regards to the sun was it closer to perihelion or aphelion. That would really have shown his ignorance up. He as many others just quote the party line regardless , the truth is besides the point. The absolute negativity shown by parliamentarians on other subjects also says it all, why do we need them. A parliament should be there for the people and all the people’s interests, not a mixture of parties partial to certain segments of the community. Party lines are not necessary. The sooner people realise that the sooner we will get proper. Democracy. JS

John, there in lies the problem, they are there not for the people but to push their own agenda.

But as to Climate change, if the countries between the two, Capricorn and Cancer are tropical what will they become after Climate change?
It some how all sound so ridiculous one has to wonder how so called intelligent persons can say such crazy things?

But the latest is some joke one could imagine.

The Victorian Sate 'Greens' are calling all school children under the age of 11 to wag school on Friday to attend a march for Climate Change.
The want by 2025 for all energy here to be from renewables.
Even if we did so and cut our emissions to Zero it would make no difference to the world.

Their ideology, for that is all it is, presents danger to so many if they were to get their way.

In comparison the Queensland National are calling for a new Clean Coal fired power station, the war continues.

Most people would and do back trying to keep our atmosphere clear going way back to the 1960s ... I can remember getting smokeless coal for household heating for the central heating system and working 8 radiators off. The price became exorbitant for the smokeless fuel so we converted to gas amid the publicity of doing ones bit for clean air. This must have been the forerunner for what today is called climate change. I still would call it a quest for a cleaner atmosphere. Scare tactics achieve nothing apart making people more aware of the spivs and charlatans in our midst. For anyone thinks they can confuse the general population of the world into believing they can change the climate they are climbing up the wrong nut tree. Stick to and enforce and if necessary increase the clean air acts would produce more results than trying to change history, geography and every science that we think we know all about. JS

John, I doubt any one is against the concept of clean air, go to some Asian countries, Bankok comes to mind, and see the air at times.
But there is another aspect to this that the polis never mentions.
It is estimated that on any day as many as 5 million open fires burning all manner of fuel in some third world countries to cook with.
It will take many generations to end that and for nations such as Afghanistan to join in a clean atmosphere.

The polis would do better to bring the people along in a manner of their choosing rather than attempting to enforce something they are not prepared to debate with the populous.

So there they are six 'Greens' sitting in a cave wearing bear skin jocks when one says to the others.

"Well we have reduced emissions to zero, closed the steel works, closed the Aliminium smelters and cement works , taken all the trucks off the road, stopped flying and culled call the life stock that created Methane, so what do we do now'?????

We have just received a warning from a weather watcher in Queensland.
This guy has been studying the weather here for almost 50 years and puts out predictions on a regular basis.
The Meterological department do not consider his word to be worth any thing, but sadly he has been right on so many occasion it is worth considering his forecast.

Unlike the professionals who only predict a maximum of 3 months ahead, this guy will call it as many as 5.

His latest is for a very severe winter, South Australia to bear the brunt of it, and heavy cyclone activity around the Queensland coast.
He bases his predictions on the continuing high we have experienced for almost five months no with little or no rain fall.

He predicts that the heat has drawn up so much moisture that it must be returned soon.
Heavy snow falls for the mountain but down to as low as 700 meters, odd as some of the doom and gloom said a few years ago we would never see snow again. Pity as the last three seasons here in Victoria have been record ones.

He may well be correct as the last few winters have been very mild, so must see if I can find some longer shorts.

The Earth has been cooling warming and Cooling again over billions of years and I think to some extent it is almost self-regulating and we are running around following what's the green suggest we do when some countries just absolutely don't care . I watch the programme the other day on how they dispose of the domestic waste in New York they're basically dry it out with waste heat and incinerate it to generate steam to provide electrical power then they take the exhaust gas through a lime absorption Tower so you get zero emissions meaning you get the rubbish disposed of electricity add a zero emissions to my mind that is simple engineering technology why can't we do it everywhere
