I see in the weekend news that one of Liverpool's oldest footballers has been honored in the Queens birthday list.
Well done to Liverpool, another thing to add to the cities long history.

John, The queen also gave Mike Carney a C.B.E.
Who is this lump of dunage................................... Following unprecedented chaos on the railway networks this week, the news that outgoing boss of Network Rail, Mark Carne, is to receive a Queen’s birthday honour is not likely to sit well with commuters.
Carne, who announced his departure as chief executive of Network Rail in February, has been made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire.
He joins around 1,350 people on the Queen’s honours list, many of them gaining MBEs, CBEs, OBEs, and knighthoods.
However, the announcement is likely to be met with intense criticism after commuters across the North faced weeks of rail chaos due to a change of timetable, with thousands left stranded after trains were cancelled or severely delayed. He also backs the franchises who bought the railway from B.R. To bring in one man trains on main line rail, He couldn't find enough bloody train drivers to fit his time table let alone guards. Re nationalize the railways and put it back in the hands of the people who are more interested in getting you to your destination, Instead of trying to make it a money making exercise. Terry.
was there not over 200 people taken from cornwall /devon by slave traders plus the Vikings took people from all over Britain there are still slave markets in Yemen slaves and trading in people is going on today.. jp
terry I think he took a lot of flack over running the railway system he was promise most of his patch would be electrified but the transport minister back peddled on the deal and the line is still not finished its years overdue and all plans for electric train run has been a cock up I think he has carried the can only for trusting the government? just my view jp
And as we all know J,P, Take anything this government trusts and you are dicing with comeback, David Davis came out with a cracker last night i am SAS I know how to take them out {Take who out } Does he own a dog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In 2011 David was lead author and editor of a book of essays written by MPs and leading political thinkers. Entitled The Future of Conservatism: Values Revisited, the book provided a blueprint for the future direction of Conservative Party policy.
David is one of the best known politicians in Britain and frequently appears locally and nationally on television and in the press :cripes:
