That is still my final dream in life mate really,and if it were at all possible I certainly would come over!
At present though I am a bit Anchored here! Personal reasons!
But the Gods may be good to me yet!

When was it held again Jim ? Month or is it just made up as you go along!?

No plans Vernon I don't think enough members would be interested.I think I could name about 7 that used to attend but would not I don't think in future. That's half the usual lot.

Even a few is better than none I say,but it is a Pity that some have sort of dropped out!
Anyway if the time comes that I may be able to make it to the shores of the Pool (LOL) it still would be great to meet you,and possibly one or two others who knows which way the Wind blows !

Just pondering on this issue of Meets etc ,and thinking just how lucky we are to have come across this Website.
It was sometime in 2008 if I recall that I first joined (old site) and since then how it has progressed in leaps and bounds.

In my early Membership I started to learn a lot of things that I did not know about concerning the various Departments on Board Ship,although I worked on them,but besides the odd Bar Chatter and mostly when we were Plonked LOL ,one (well me ) never really got to know quite exactly went on in the various departments!

Anyway going back on how lucky we are,i think that in my time here ,I have met many a good Lad on this site,be it only in Conversations I think a lot of us can tell by the way one Posts and replies how that Person would be like if you were to meet up with him, I have always had a kind of knack to this feeling,and can say have seldom been incorrect!

Besides the ones we meet on site,there is the other end of this ,and I refer to the wonderful People we have come to meet in Person.

I have had a great pleasure in meeting quite a few thus far,and can with all honestly say that each and every one I have met,have come up to what I expected and some a lot more too!

Yes thanks to one Mr Brian Probetts many of us here have in one way or the other found and met many ,be it online or in Person,and I know by past Posts that there are also many who have managed to get Re Aquainted with old Ship Mates.which is of course the Main reason for this great site!

Who would of thought before finding this site,that any of us would have been able to Meet with so many good people! And as said old Friends too! Now that a Plus!! Get it!

I think many of us are now getting to the stage that we know it wont be forever until we must say a Final farewell,so that is why I feel we have been so very very Lucky!

I get regular e-mails from him and he tells me he and the family are doing fine.

Davey we that is bill and myself often chatted on line and we had a good rap ore with each other he was blue flue through and through though and as all members if they are good and respectful to you then you are the same with them he passed a couple of years ago he had a bad fall on his sons farm and must say he was here in one name only the other site {no name} you can be slung of for nothing} i know first hand and still don't know why? { my be someone set me up there but who cares that's why we are all lucky to be on this good site? jp

##we all view folk differently ......i found him arrogant others may not .....i have always tried to understand peoples different traits ......i cannot respect bullies or sea lawers of any rank ..but my most unliked are folk who know all about it but have never bloody done it....i usually find looking at them in depth ...they have never done anything really......but by god they know all the answers.....and are masters of complaint on all subjects .......funny the older i get the more of these type of folk seem to be about.....or is it just todays world
