As to the Falklands, what was the UK supposed to do, sit back and allow Argentina to walk in and take over.?
She was re-elected because she had sound policies, the way all govs should be elected.

Lewis, you want to replace the anti - British glasses and take a fresh look at history.
The great Socialist Harold Wilson, started the closure of British coal mine when he allowed the imports of cheap coal from Polish mines to flood the UK markets.
As for all the coal left in UK, about 300 years, the great Tony Blair killed (or helped) when he signed the agreement to ban electricity produced from coal.

Thanks for your concern.The effects of the earthquake
were felt as far north as Birmingham and as far south
as Cornwall.As the crow flies,I live about twenty miles
away from the epicentre,but did not feel a thing,strange.

But British history is the history of England. Though for some reason academics will tell you history of Great Britain is fine but many consider that to be pre Tudor times.
