    Default Nelson

I recall going to the National Maratime Museum in Greenwich as a young lad and looking with great interest at the uniform and artifacts surrounding the statue of Lord Nelson.

The other day I read an article in the paper about some of the artifacts in the museum, or I assume that is where they are.

According to the report, part of the flag his body was wrapped in, a small wooden chest in which he kept bottles of drink, and a number of other items are to go under the auctioneers hammer!

I was under the impression that all such items were of national significance and belonged to the nation and it's people.

Have any members heard of this?

If they can sell artifacts such as these, items I would consider to be national treasures, what next, Tower Bridge??
