    Default The ladder

No doubt you have all seen the Eric Sykes movie 'The Plank'.
Well there is a new one 'The Ladder' staring yours truly.

In May 2015 up a 60 foot gum tree removing some of the smaller branches prior to a full hair cut for the tree. Last step off the ladder and it moved, I caught my foot on the concrete edge fractured the fifth Metatarsal of my left foot and spent 6 months in a Moon boot.

April 2016, pruning fruit trees which sit along side my veg patch. Going well, on to the last one and the soil under the ladder gave way.
Soft landing on the cuttings, watch broken.

Friday October 27th 2017. Up working on my Pergola, some of the timber not the best and needs replacing.
I have discovered that having the ladder up against the bit you cutting is not sound practice.
There area n umber of rose bushes under the spot where I was working. Most will not now require a heavy prune at the nd of the year, but I have had to buy a new watch, again! Rose bushes are not the best form of soft landing.

I am now convinced the ladder, given to me by my brother as a present is a bad omen.

her in doors has said I must either stop climbing or she will sell the bloody ladder.
Fine but what will I do then for my next trick, fall off the roof/
No already done that in 2012.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

Life is too short to blend in.

spend some of your millions and employ a tradesman.
    simple.
Last time I was on the roof I fell off and fractured my skull. that was a pain.
