Re: George osborne
Lewis,
how can you be so naive,
Bliar took Britain to war under false pretences.
Thatcher took us to war to protect British Citizens of the Falkland Islands who had been Invaded by Argentina.
Bliar told Parliament that he could hit us in 45 minutes, Doctor Kelly, the Chief Weapons Inspector, told the Committee and Bliar there were NO WMD. a few days later Doctor Kelly was found dead in a field under very suspicious circumstances. and very convenient for Bliar to start the Invasion. So was Kelly killed on orders from the Top to keep him quiet?? His body had been moved after the first reports, and then the Ambulance people , a man and a woman , both claimed there was not enough blood to kill anyone. It was said he had Committed Suicide. WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH.
Bliar knew nothing of the Middle East, Saddam`s Iraq kept Iran under control, it was a good balance. Then when Saddam was taken out then Iran starts to flex its muscles unhindered by Iraq.
That war killed hundreds of British Soldiers and maimed and crippled thousands in mind and body. Conveniently Bliar sent his two sons to New York to work for Morgan Stanley, the big Financial House to learn how to make money,, and sent other peoples sons and husbands to be killed and crippled.
My two Nephews both did each SIX by SEVEN Month Tours of Iraq, so I got a lot of inside information on the conditions there.
Then the Idiot Bliar send s the troops into Afghanistan, he said at the time, `We will not even fire a shot in anger.
Another big Lie. and more and more Troops Killed and crippled in mind and Body. Both my nephews again did two tours each in Helmand .
Now what the hell was all that for???????
How many BILLIONS OF POUNDS DID ALL THAT COST THE TAX PAYER, ???????
My friends in America told me that GW Bush presented Bliar with a big Mansion in Florida for all that.
That "person" has NO SHAME.
That is why he should be taken off the streets.
Brian.

Re: George osborne
Politicians do not read or learn from History,
Britain was involved in several Afghan Wars and lost most of them.
What made Bliar think he could do it better with other peoples sons.
"If you lie wounded on Afghans cold plains,
and the women are coming to cut off what remains,
then lie on your rifle and blow out your brains
and go to your death like a Soldier.
Kipling.

Re: George osborne
Afghanstan, was to try and give women a lifeand also to cull the drug trade I do not think Britain went in there alone, Poland are there Holland are there even the Germans are there and the French , It was a UN decision. If Daddy Bush had of finished the Iraq war in the first place, there would not have been a second war. Don't give me Thatcher was defending British citizens, was it Bollocx , she needed something to get her re elected and that was it and if you think I am wrong it is not me who is niave. If Blair was not tainted by Iraq he would walk the next election.Bush gave him a house in Florida produce evidence of that one then.

Re: George osborne
Margaret Thatcher's husband Denis was the chairman of Burma Castrol oil so I presume had a good insight to what the oil business was and is about in the 1960s exploration companies found pockets of oil under the Falklands that had something like 40 years of the world supply available at that time so let's be perfectly honest nobody was worried about a few Farmers and a few sheep even if they were British . Although I personally believe that Margaret Thatcher had British territory and British interests at heart the old black gold was there seriously in the background . I find that Margaret Thatcher is much maligned to be perfectly honest the only thing that I think she did ever that was wrong words to bring in the poll tax and I felt that the poll tax was a fairer way of charging the community based on the number of people that use the facilities rather than on the building they live in because you could have a building in a Suburb of somewhere like Bolton with 30 people living in it and an old man over the road saying the same rates

Re: George osborne
Hi Lewis
Britain and the US are always interfering in other countries, and if they do not like their leaders they bring them down,
One of the biggest causes of war. Iraq, Syria Libya and so on. All in the name of Democracy, In a moo slim country you cannot have Democracy. You need a Strong man, Dictator. Ever since Bliar started the invasion of Iraq, the Middle east has never had peace, and a million people have died, How can that "person " sleep at night.
So that is OK for our young men and women to be killed trying to bring Democracy to a people who do not want Democracy.
.
Re Thatcher,
We were Duty bound to defend the Falklands against Argentina. the Falklands had Nothing to do with Argentina, it is 400 miles away. Like us laying a claim and invading Iceland. The Falklands were very first discovered by an English Ships Captain, Smith* in the 17th century and they were uninhabited. Nowt to do with any south American country.
and as regards to the Poll Tax, I was in favour of it, at the time , next door to me was a family of five, all working, I lived alone for 18 years, In the Council Tax I was paying the same as next door, in the Poll tax, each one of us paid the same., that is fair,
If you go to a restaurant alone and have a meal do you want to pay the same bill as the next table with Five people ? No of course you would not, So that is the same as Poll Tax It was the fairest tax possible, But too many Bums and stiffs , whingers and whiners complained and rioted, a Typical left wing , commie , Pinko trick.
Gawd they make me sick these whingers.
Cheers
Brian.

Re: George osborne
An example of how things are blown up out of all proportion is yesterday's and today's news and the manner of reporting a Chinese warship called a spy ship within a couple of hundred miles of war games being carried out by US and Australian forces off Australias eastern seaboard. They the media. Putting emphasis on spyship and forcing a mishaprehension on the public. For the publics benefit it should also be reported that most countries monitor others war games, the US certainly as can be seen almost daily monitor North Korea and the Chinese Islands being built in the China sea are the obvious ones, they do not class this as spying to my knowledge. All the time I was at sea was nearly always approached by the flag of the country if going through or close to a war zone for any info. So is nothing unusual and nothing to get ones knickers in a twist about. Just another mismanagement by the media designed to bring a kettle to the boil. Should have been Chinese warship and position of and forget the pumping of this fact into the publics sub conscious. The. Usual bunch of clowns followers of Grimms fairy tales no doubt. It is the usual pracrtice also to put out a prohibited safe zone for shipping to keep to, now if the Chinese warship had been ignoring this that maybe would have been worth reporting, it obviously wasn't or would have been escorted out of the area. Just the usual stirring up of the facts to make a story and cause repercussions. JWS.

Re: George osborne
It always seems strange to me that when a country sits on oil reserve like the Falklands or Iran Iraq North Africa all those places Angola included have all kinds of trouble makes you wonder if the innocent wonderful oil men and their influence are world government's has anything to do with Wars

Re: George osborne
Of course it does Rob, it will be a consideration on any entry into another countries war also. Even if just for the fact of them being able to pay back the outlay of public expenditure. The oil rich Middle East countries must be a source of wealth to the providers of weaponry and a boon to the country of origin. I didn't get too far into the study of economic geography when started for extras, but no doubt would have been a lot wiser if carried on. It must be a study probably under a different name to those studying for a degree in political sciences. Today we don't have statesmen we have mathematicians in wealth. I could add propoganda, deceit, and acting abilities but people might think I"m prejudiced. Cheers JWS.

Re: George osborne
Hi John.
Maybe the Chinese ship was going to berth in Darwin, after all it is theirs for the next 99 years. As for the Falklands I wonder where they get their fresh water from now that Argentina has stopped supplying them, just a thought.
Cheers Des
