Cappy if I put a point of view forward regarding Mr Corbyn does that make me a diehard as you call it.I know it is frowned upon on here if one dares to say anything against the Tories that is a big NO NO.

YouGov the polling firm is predicting that the Tories will lose 20 seats. Remember this lot got the prediction for the 2015 election results wrong.
Rival pollster COmRes predicts a 100 plus majority of the Tories.
The only result that matters is next Thursday when Corbyn is defeated.

Cappy I reckon most Tories on here were not born Tory they were born into Labour families but once they climbed the greasy pole they cannot vote Labour anymore as they are now middle class I will have to vote conservative,in a sense plastic Tories.As in this case now they consider anyone voting Labour is a bit thick or maybe very thick,but they're not looking at the overall picture what is going on and they don't care what is going on as nothing will deter them from voting Tory.Ask yourself has seven years of austerity improved the country in anyway or is it worse now than what it was seven years ago.What have they done with all the money that they have taken from the people,millions taken from councils,bedroom tax,disability benefits slashed along with the mobility cars,thousands of jobs gone still borrowing more than Labour borrowed.
Labour the party that borrows,whats wrong with borrowing money for the better of the country as long as you can pay it back.I don't think that there is a person on this site that hasn't borrowed money to better their life,main one mortgage on house,second maybe car finance and then of course items for the home.I was in consumer finance for many years,this was how people furnished their homes,husband and wife both working they could not buy cash but could afford weekly payments and so this is how they could make their homes comfortable.The laugh on here is say anything against Labour no matter how stupid the like and thanks buttons get the hammer mention anything against conservative and it is given a very wide berth.

well jim if climbing the slippery pole as you wish to call is what i call the getting your head down not spending everything you earn or recieve on benefits.....then i suppose we are at a meeting point ......thank the lord that some of us have the grit to climb the slippery pole and pour billions into the benefits for the less inclined the less able and the rest of the no work at any cost brigade .....but there you go ...yes jim i was brought up in a labour family ......but waiting for the local hard put on miner to come from the pub and sell me coal at sixpence a bucket made me think its not right the only person that will look after me and keep the wolf from the door is myself .....the conservatives didnt want me to give more and more to keep the afore mentioned sitting on there arses .....i see today children are in poverty ...what ballocks ..parents ar wanting all and will even spend what they get for kids on there own consumables the labour system initially was good ....but now completely out of control ....when more and more is taken from the working population to keep them voting labour ....promises of more and more for less and less ....sadly they have blown it .....there screeching grows louder as they realise its all over and corbyn and bedmates will be in the trash bin of politics for a long long time......but take heart mr bliar is hovering to make the comeback ...lol cappy

Fine words cappy but as the old saying go's "It's not over until the fat lady sings",what a shock to the system it will be when good old Jeremy is given the key to number 10. By the way I have voted for both party's over the years,is'nt that what you are supposed to do pick out the best on offer,sticking to one party is a no brainer.

WON'T get Fooled Again
Looking back, due to always being away deep sea when elections were held I had never voted until I got 2/2 on joining Stolt's in 91. The first time I actually personally voted was in 97 when Blair got elected as I very foolishly believed in him. How wrong can you be. By the time the next election came around I could see where his proliferate spending was taking the country and switched my vote to BNP, after that I have voted Conservative.
This time around some of Labours policies seem, on surface, quite attractive but the sheer thought of having the rail and power industries back in Government hands and them being held to ransom by the left wing trade Unions demanding even more pay rises and refusing to allow any introduction of new technology is enough to put me off repeating my 97 mistake, along with the realisation that Labours economic policies do not stand up to scrutiny. Some say that the Conservatives are attacking pensioners with their dementia tax but I don't see it as an attack, just a different and fairer way for those who can pay for social care and still live in their own property, pay for that care after they die instead of having to sell there house to fund for their care, which is what happened to my mother when to fund the cost of her care home stay she was forced to sell the house that we all grew up in. When she died at aged 91 the value of her estate was such that her 4 children got far less than she would of been able to leave us under these new proposed rules.

I was fooled by Blair "only once". I think past governments of all parties have squandered the tax payers monies by chasing
their ill thought out policies and taking the country in to some unnecessary wars, and now they have allowed so many people t
to enter the UK, very many of these people have no means of support and none have ever paid a penny into the system but
will still enjoy the benefits we have paid in for all our lives, it's not rocket science to see why we have all this austerity is being put on us. I can see why people are disgruntled about the Tory proposals as most of it seems to be aimed at the pensioners,
like many others I have worked bloody hard for what I've got, 13 hours a night 7 nights a week for spells of 6--7 weeks at a time in all weathers, I paid my mortgage up early and saved instead of blowing it, I don;t think I'm being selfish or taking
the "I'm all right Jack" attitude but it doesn't seem right to me that the people who cared about and saved for the future are
being caned while others who've done nothing are living better than they like to admit, having said that I will be voting Tory
this time for Brexit and to try to keep out Corbyn and his Muppet's. cheers John F
