Green card holders have and are being refused entry back into the US after being abroad for family visits or vacation. People in the restricted countries who have spent on average 2 years applying for a green card, and after extreme vetting and being approved for a green card have been taken off planes, refused boarding at the ticket counter and detained and some shipped back to their own country (the seven restricted countries).
The head of a household, an Iraqi family, was employed for years as a translator to the US army has been turned back from his flight. He and his wife sold there house and car, quit there jobs, kids out of school, all of them ready to go to the US. Turned away.
The news is reporting that the presidential order is going to be modified to allow green card holders and those (like this family) to return or enter the US.
It seems to me this presidential order was not thought out, but rushed in order to show Trumps supporters that he is off and running.
The uproar across the US is because America is a nation of immigrants. Trump is a third generation on his mothers side (Scotland) and fourth on his fathers side (Germany), though he likes to claim Sweden. His German ancestry is well documented.
Why are Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, The emirates, Indonesia, The twenty odd xxxxxstan countries not included too, Surely business interests in Saidi, the Emirates, Lebanon and Indonesia wouldn't have anything to do with it would it?
