Our NBN
Well at last we here in Blackheath have received notification of the NBN being now available to local residents,a long time coming but here at last!
I have thus phoned my Carrier to arrange for the swicth and received a nice surprise with it I must say!
My new Pan is actually going to be cheaper (for faster speeds) than I now have,so from the 8.8mbps which has been not to bad,i go now to a speed of 50mbps (Tier3) which will I am sure be awesome!
On top of this I also get a Priority Phone Connection (for ongoing Medical Reasons) with the complete Install Free of charge, what a bonus!
So in all with Telephone call costs down as well I will be paying a flat rate of only $59 a Month in place of my existing $89 Nice to be a Pensioner at times! LOL
All this will come into effect within 8 working days! Horah!!

Re: Our NBN
You are lucky Vernon, we will have to wait until next June for our connection. But my ISP tells me the price will remain as is, so we wait with baited breath to see!!!!!!!!!

Crikey Vernon, our street was all set up and was due to connect on 16th September last. Then it was moved to February 2017. You must have some beaut look'n sheilas over there in Bleak Heath or you feed the technicians with your curries and spare ribs.
Happy Christmas sport, to you and Irene.
Cheers! Richard and Margaret

Re: Our NBN
Hi Vernon.
We are with Telstra with our phone and it only costs us $40 a month which included all local calls. A young bloke rang us a couple of years ago and said he would put us at the cheapest pension rates.
Cheers Des

Re: Our NBN
Hi Des
Tes I have been with Telstra since we came here in 1980 ,and have had no probs at all!
With Bigpond Internet for many Years too now so my new plan I think is just fab!
$59 Bucks a Month for fast Broadband Unlimited ,free Install NBN Modem,Free local calls and capped interstate calls at $2 talk as long as you like! Also really good Cheap Overseas rates with a Fee of $5 (that is included in that $59)
So what have I got to complain about! LOL
Can I become a Pensioner again in the Next World! Mmmm! But then who knows things may have changed drastically!
