Very cheap cruise
I had a phone call this morning from my sister in Perth. Her daughter has M.S. and as she is showing signs of improvement decided to splash out on a mini cruise on the Sun Princess. The ship is sailing from Freemantle down the coast and back , just three days. She booked the most expensive suite on the ship as a treat for her and her husband. Later the shipping company called her offering $900 off the price if she would agree to move to another suite lower down but still with a balcony. She said she would think about it. The company phoned again , this time the offer was $900 each. Her mini cruise is now costing just $40.
I am sure she will enjoy it.

Re: Very cheap cruise
I have been thinking about this and can only come up with three possible explanations as to why the shipping company would be prepared to make such an offer.
Perhaps the suite was locked down in quarantine . Some one they could not say no to insisted on this cabin , or most likely Crappy has been complaining to Carnival Cruises about their Skippers belonging to a union.

Re: Very cheap cruise
This tim eof year is in between seasons almost. Here in Oz there is a perios between end of november and mid December when the companies find it hard to fill the ships. Too close to Christmas for many as many will be on a cruise at Christmas.
So they may offer all manner of specials just to fill the ship.
Good friend of ours took his wife for ten days with Royal Caribbean up to the islands for $1,000 for the two. It was the end of November, beginning of December.
Sun Princess out of Perth, will b eon hre next week for 15 nights up to Indonesia out of Freeo.

Happy daze John in Oz.
Life is too short to blend in.
