    Default 9/11

I watched a very interesting TV documentary last night about the New York terrorist attacks.

It was not the usual conspiracy theories on imploding towers and detonations, this was the lengths the US has gone to protect Saudi Arabia from any suggestion of involvement .
Hundreds of pages on the attacks hidden away from the public while those released so heavily redacted to make them impossible to read.

The terrorists were all Saudi nationals yet the US waged war on Afghanistan and Iraq in response. Families of the dead and survivors have been denied information and their attempts to bring a lawsuit against Saudi Arabia blocked at the highest level of government.

Saudi is behind many many Terrorist activities, But they are untouchable . Always protected by our politicians who are just as bent and corrupt as they are.

This is the power extreme wealth brings, Saudi can blackmail any country by threatening to remove investments, cancelling arms agreements and infrastructure projects.

Hillary Clinton was at the heart of government, people should demand answers before voting .

On another tack, Blair appears to have escaped scot free after the Chilcot report. All the time and money spent with nothing at the end , the cover up continues.

Louis the Fly, a update to your post #1, I'm sure the show was put together prior to this weeks US political news:

The following has been edited by me from a lengthy article on Bing News:]

WASHINGTON (CN) — Two days before the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks, the House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed a bill to allow victims' families to sue Saudi Arabia in federal courts.

After a quick voice vote with no opposition, 9/11 families observing in the upper level of the House chamber erupted in cheers and applause.

"Fifteen years is a long time to wait. This bill is needed. We need justice. I think it's a strong deterrent. I am proud of the United States Congress and the legislative body of this country for standing up and passing this bill," Rep. Carolyn Maloney, D-New York, said on the House floor before the vote.

Families pushed hard for the legislation, fueled by suspicion that Saudi Arabia had played a significant role in the attacks.

However, President Barack Obama could veto the bill when it lands on his desk — and has lobbied against it.

In July, a declassified chapter of the 9/11 Commission's report revealed that the FBI and CIA believed that five Saudi officials, including two intelligence officers, helped the hijackers.

That connection was not lost on Rep. Lloyd Doggett, D-Texas.

"Look around the world — in Europe, in Asia, in the Middle East, in Africa — wherever you see evidence of radical *****, that extremism can usually be traced to preachers of hate from Saudi Arabia. The kingdom has blood on its hands. Is it the blood of the victims of 9/11? Possibly. Fifteen of the 19 hijackers were Saudis," he said on the House floor before the vote.

"The ******s that I know that are my neighbors in Texas, and those with whom I meet here in Washington, do not deserve blanket blame for themselves or for *****, but neither should there be blanket immunity for those who may have committed wrong," Doggett said before the vote.

"Give these 9/11 families their day in court. And accord the Saudis all of the rights in that judicial proceeding that they so regularly deny their own citizens," he added.

Critics say the bill might expose Americans to retaliatory legislation in courtrooms abroad and will strain relations with Saudi Arabia, a longtime U.S. ally. The kingdom has already threatened to sell off hundreds of billions in U.S. assets if the bill becomes law.

Saudi Arabia continues to deny any involvement in the attack.

[The nations involving the hijackers was: 15 Saud Arabia, 2 U.A.E., 1 Egypt, 1 Lebanon].

[F.Y.I. D-Texas means a Democrat Congress man/woman followed by the State they represent, the closest example would be to a British M.P..]

Rodders, that explains what is wrong in so many countries to day. Each of them relies on the other for assistance and in doing so puts them selves in a position where thye are between a rock and hard place. USA is no different to nay other when it comes to incidents such as this. We had the Bali bombings the next year and the Oz gov shouted load at Indonesia, but that was all they did.

I hope the 9/11 families are successful in their quest for truth and justice , the House of Representatives decision to allow them to sue Saudi Arabia has not been reported here in UK.

Now this lands on the desk of Obama will he have the courage to allow this case to proceed or bow to pressure from powerful interests to have it blocked ?

It will be tied up in legislation for years even if passed. Brians post about the restitution to British seafarers familys was for 70 odd years ago, and still not gained any traction, and that was from France who today will refuse to admit the actions they are accused of. Everything we were brainwashed about in movies and press about our so called allies was just to appease the masses. Others who thought different and knew they were wrong were just voices in the wilderness to be shouted down or ignored and think todays politicians think they are answerable to no one. I think the people of the US are similar to most of western society and beginning to doubt the reliability of those they elect to power. The little redhead in the senate who most politicians hate is just saying exactly what the general public with any brains are saying themselves. We have all the rhetoric coming from certain states in Europe about race and religious mixing, in general it has proved over and over again not to work and those believers in such refuse to listen to others who they probably look at as inferiors. Sometime soon we may if lucky get some proper leaders. JWS

On the subject of propaganda and deviousness by the media and pollys. For the past week there has been ongoing war games I am lead to believe by the Russian and Chinese fleets in the China sea. The only news given on this to date is one small paragraph in a local paper. If had been a US war games like with South Korea recently was all over the news media. Why the selective silence on this, in other western exercises is filmed and everything. Does the west think by not given news time to others, it will give them an advantage by not advertising the fact that other countries have ships. ????? Going back in history as we know it there was the age of the Dinosaurs, The ice age, The stone age, the bronze age, the iron age, the middle ages, the latter centuries probably all had different names, but from 1950 onwards should be called the blind age where everyone went around with blinkers on. The age we are now coming into should be called the age of revelation, or the age when the blinkers started to come off and the peoples of the earth saw the reality of the situations some of the present and past head bangers had landed the earths community in. Obama could of coures pass the legislation as his last act befotre leaving office and leave it to the incoming to deal with. But if Hillary was to win he may think twice.

Interesting bit today from USA re the Financial Crisis of 2008/9. There are some who think they can sue, they are not quite sure who yet, for the failings of the banks particularly Leemans Brothers for allowing people to borrow more than they could afford. But as the correspondent noted, where after all this time will you get the people to sue. Maybe the same will apply to the 9/11 case. The terrorists may well have been from Saudi Arabia but that does not mean the gov there was involved.

Not the Saudi rulers but wealthy individuals in Saudi and the USA who share the terrorists aims to have their religion dominate the world.

After the 9/11 attack planeloads of Saudi's suddenly left the States , some say assisted by the national crime agencies . In the papers that have been released all reference to Saudi Arabia has been blacked out. The Bush and bin Laden families were on close personal terms which may explain the refusal to release more information.
