Jim, My son in law works for the vauxhall plant in question, He is to be informed if he still has a job or not next week, It is true afraid to say whether it is scaremongering or not who knows but the work force have been informed . Terry :mad:

Vauxhall have been on the verge of closing Ellesmere Port a number of times. If they are doing so now then the referendum is just a good excuse for them to shift their production to Spain and Germany which they have wanted to do for some time, but had they done so before the referendum, it would have spoilt their image and market in the UK. Car makers do not have much loyalty to their workers as the past has shown and this is just another example of their mind set and character.

They have a very good loyal workforce there at Ellesmere Port Chris they have stuck by General Motors through thick and thin and this is the way that they reward them.If they go to Europe and Europe stops trading with us how will that benefit Vauxhall considering all the Vauxhall cars that get sold here.
It will be interesting to listen to the Roger Philips show tomorrow on radio Merseyside (noon till 2pm) Joe Anderson will come in for some stick from the public.

Rolls Royce have also stated that if we vote Brexit, they will review a planned investment in a new engine test bed facility at their Derby Plant.
Remain claim that leaving will cause the pound to fall, if does our exports will cheaper than those of our competitors. So whats the problem?

We are the 5th wealthiest nation in the world, And yes we can and will do as we have before become a success story, I await with anticipation which country will call the same referendum if the brexit vote wins. And there in lies part of the EU problem if you leave. A weaker pound makes exports cheaper so some of the EU countries would then have to compete with Uk for sales.

There is no doubt about it people are becoming concerned about the influx of foreigners into the country and letters like the attached are just the start of something bigger.

See wee Burney has ordered her officials to dust down proposals for a Scottish Independence Referendum in the event that UK votes to leave and Scotland votes to stay.
Based on the gross payments the UK pays, I estimate that Scotland would have to pay into the EU funds a gross payment of £1.9b, can she afford that amount.
