Re: Your opinions please.
Brian #21, of course you are correct. they borrow money to give as aid and pay interest whic is no doubt compound interest so the amount borrowed this year will still be part owing when they borrow again next year. But budget figures will not show that of course. The craziest part of all this, some of the countries that gain the aid have to pay a certain amount into the IMf fund, your taxes at work.

There is one thing for sure Britain has had ample warning for what the future holds for their grandchildren and if they don't make the right choice on the 23rd. July they have only themselves to blame. One would think a person had to be deaf dumb and blind not to see the writing on the wall, which our able politicians have so kindly placed the country in. Thankfully most of us wont to be here to see the able fifth column work that has gone in to destroying a civilization as we knew it. JS

Re: Your opinions please.
The garbage they are putting out now is that 773 billion pounds that is spent in the EU to treat Brits over there for medication, which they say will stop, transpires that included in that figure is the state pensions paid to those that have chosen to live in Europe. They are trying to frighten everyone with lies. All we need is to be told the true facts, but listening to politicians for that is like plaiting sawdust. They are all highly skilled liars, kt

Re: Your opinions please.
Hi All.
Our steel industry is in ****' street, Spanish imports of steel are being used by the NSW Govt to build a light rail. An expert has said that the steel is inferior to Australian steel and said that one bridge built with it in Western Aus is in danger of collapsing, Korean steel being used in the Northern territories has been found to have defective welding; large areas have been filled with no more gaps. When questioned about the import of foreign steel our illustrious Federal Treasurer said we must buy these things as otherwise we would be in breach of our trade agreements! Du!
The present Govt want a law passed on Union Corruption in the building industry, John Holland one of the biggest Construction Companies in Australia is involved in the biggest ever corruption and backhander payments in our history, how mute is our Govt over that. A mate just sent me an e-mail in it he said to be a bricky a carpenter, plumber Etc you have to pass exams, to be a politician all you need is an ego.
Cheers Des

Re: Your opinions please.
Fact is Des we can no longer compete on costs wit some of the imported stuff. I noticed even Shorten is saying very little about this as he knows the facts. Our wage structure and union practices over years has brought us to this point. The west as a whole is now using the cheapest they can find in order to stay solvent.

Re: Your opinions please.
John our wage practices match up with our cost of living the same as those on 2 dollars a day, in foreign climes. granted they are used as cheap labour even by their own governments. I see nothing exorbinently high compared to the grocery bills and the imported goods into Australia by the profiteers. It is coming to light now that the press and others are picking up on the big banks now. I feel as though others are getting some of their ideas and stop press releases from peoples worries off this site as well as letters in papers showing concern the way at times the country is governed. My opinions of the present PM haven't changed any since he stabbed the previous one in the back, and still wait to see this massive landslide it was supposed to produce in the sacking of Tony Abbott. Apart from being a bit of a smoothie, he is the usual run off the mould, however why should he worry he made his millions whilst banking. The shower that backed him for the hot seat also hope those that remember their actions when putting out the duly elected PM of this country, remember where not to put their cross. The same as most did re the previous Labour party. Cheers JS
