Re: ISIS.The British Women Supporters Unveiled.
it seems as if you loved the British way of life living in peaceful harmony with your neighbours and workmates some from commonwealth countries not all the same colour as you and get on well then someone comes in to the house tries to upset the apple cart and you say something you are a racist? if a racist is someone who loves their country there is a lot of racists in this country.. just my view.. jp

Re: ISIS.The British Women Supporters Unveiled.
HI All.
Two Muftis and two women from the slam have been found guilty of operating on two little girls for you all know what, in Sydney, I am waiting to see what sentence they are given, in our society people get a stiff sentence for posing as Drs but I suspect it will be a slap on the wrist like home detention.
Cheers Des

Re: ISIS.The British Women Supporters Unveiled.
Here in Victoria all schools are being told it is OK to celebrate Christmas any way they wish but not doing so for fear of offending some is not a valid reason any more. All the shopping centres have the decorations up, apart from one in an area lovingly known as Moslemeadows. No doubt you can guess why it is known by his name.

Happy daze John in Oz.

Yes we are a Christian country and Christmas is a Christian feast.
We can all do our bit by only sending cards with Nativity scenes instead of jolly holly and robins.
Years ago I used to be careful who I sent a ' Christmas' card to in case they were non- Christians. Now, I disregard all those sensitivities. You know who I am, so here's your card !

Re: ISIS.The British Women Supporters Unveiled.
We keep hearing it said that this is a Christian country, what is church attendance now, about 10%.Most people probably set foot inside a church to attend baptism's,wedding or funerals, what is becoming very popular is the deceased being taken strait to the crem and one of the family or friends giving a talk about the deceased life without any clergyman in sight because "he didn't believe in anything like that".I remember when I was a kid each Catholic church had a dozen priests or more now we have a situation where one priest is covering three parishes so he has to cover three churches to say mass there on sundays. My wife attends mass every sunday and I think the attendance is around the 80 mark.I understand why it is said that this is a Christian country although we don't attend a church service on a weekly basis it is still deep rooted in our souls and we would not let anybody take it away from us.

Speaking of Christmas cards - which I was a short time ago..............
The 3 Churches in our village hand deliver a card to all the homes and businesses on Advent Sunday ( 29th November this year) . This is the 22nd year we have done it and my hubby designs the card which is A5 size.
3,300 cards are in boxes in our Dining Room at the moment. We get lots of volunteers to deliver and hopefully, the rain will keep off !

That's right Jim, you can have Christian values without necessarily going to church

Re: ISIS.The British Women Supporters Unveiled.
Hi Brenda.
I haven't been to church since I was about 12, so I suppose as I don't believe in the Myth I am an atheist, but I will defend our heritage of being Christian, as my wife keeps saying we don't go to church but we have Christian values.
