Pensions for all

John #9 I was in my late 30's when we came here but have built three houses and renovated one. The young ones complain they cannot afford to get a house, yes they can it is all a matter of personal discipline, work hard, save diligently and it can be done.

We get part UK pension at about 52 GBP each per week, this amount reduces our Oz pension by various amounts depending on the value of the UK pound to the Oz dollar.

But as John A says anyone who paid in is entitled.

Vernon, did you pay into the SA pension scheme?

My French friend who has not worked there since mid60's now gets a small pension from there of about 80 Euros a month.

Indeed John I did for many Years and have gone into it many times,but I have worked it out that the amount converted into Aus Dollars is pitiful,so have opted for the Aus Pension in place of that!

Sorry if I mislead you on that score John,its my fault but still peeved that the pension I mat have got from them is so small,we certainly would not have been able to survive here on it!
The conversion rate now being something in the region of 9 to 1
So far better off not getting anything!

sadley like others i must pay my taxes ....which are taken to pay the benefit seekers like the young prat on the telly who spent his 400 quid in the casino .....said it was camerons fault for giving him it all at once ....but then went to the food bank ...and got groceries to last him for till another payment from my hard earned cash was due .....we should have penal battalions ....sent to sort out isis made up of this sort of shite to earn there food .....they should be paid in food tokens ..and made to queue for it....it costs me hundreds of pounds out of my pensions each year to pay my accountant and to pay income to the government on what i have saved....for it to go to these shitehawks of society.......charity begins at home for cappy and co ..apart from 3 chosen charities ....which will not go towards the bums and stiffs in this country...when will we wake up ....and stop this robbery of hard working folk....and stop this bums charter......no doubt the lefties will now bombard the site with etc etc etc....cappy

I feel the same Cappy,
they take £1200 income tax out of my miserable MN Pension that I bought and paid for my self. Benefits are tax free and they get more than I get.
Then another £1,300 Council Tax,
So before I can buy food, pay for gas, electric, water and all the overheads of maintaining a home. and a car. I have to pay £2500 taxes
My heart bleeds for these bums.

My dear old Dad always told me, in his strong Lancashire accent,,"

He worked hard all his life and died broke but no debts, of an Industrial disease, Bysinosis, cotton dust on the lungs and that was lung cancer.
He got £1 30p a month pension for that off his employer, paid on the 1st of the month for the month, when Dad died two men from the Mill knocked on my mothers door, a new Widow, , and demanded the £1 30p back, he died on the 12th, so because he didn't live to the end of the month she had to give them £1.30p out of her purse to them.
unfortunately I was in Guam when it happened and didn't get home until four months later. or I would have sorted them out.
