Re: Democracy
Hi Jim
I know you do not like the paper but it is in MAIL ON LINE.
.
Corbyn's sweatshop T-shirts: Poverty-stricken workers paid just 49p an hour making clothes that boosted his coffers by £100,000
In Nicaragua, Corbyn T-shirt workers are paid £101 a month for shifts
'Team Corbyn' garments sold out, raising £100,000 for his campaign
The T-shirts cost supporters £10 with the added postage cost of £3.50
Corbyn spoke of his determination to combat poverty and inequality in an impassioned victory speech

Re: Democracy
Brian remember when we were on 20p per hour OVERTIME it's pro rata. The fact his supporters paid £10.00 plus £3.50 p&p that was upto them to swell the campaign funds.

Re: Democracy
#32, Diabolical! No politician should be using sweat shops. Mmm, so much for Socialist principals.
-
Re: Democracy
By all accounts they are earning just above the minimum wage for that country so the whole country must be working under sweat shop conditions. It was diabolical too the money paid to us at sea,John S will tell you all about the shipowners.

Re: Democracy
Hi Jim
If he thinks so much about the British Working people, he could have had his T-Shirts made in UK and given much needed work to us and not send British money overseas keeping foreigners in employment and not our own.
He has always had Nicaraguan connections.
BUY BRITISH, they used to say.
That is one of the reasons for unemployment, companies ordering gear overseas and not giving British Factories a chance,

Re: Democracy
Brian has mentioned the Daily Mail. This used to be a very good newspaper as it was printed on large pages. Once it was cut into squares and hung in the kharzi it could last a family of five for a week.

Re: Democracy
Good one Jim
The Liverpool one is dearer, so I guess the Bolton one is from a sweat shop.
Made in Liverpool T Shirt
£19.95
I will imagine they are all made in one factory and just printed on the Made in ,,, Logo.
Just looked again
It is an American Family company, from Redwood California. So not a British company but still be made in Britain with profits going back to the States. BUT they must employ British people over here so Corbyn could have ordered those and I am sure they would have been a better quality as well as employing Brits.;
Cheers

Brian has mentioned the Daily Mail. This used to be a very good newspaper as it was printed on large pages. Once it was cut into squares and hung in the kharzi it could last a family of five for a week. Louis.
Hi Louis, I think it is a better quality paper than the Morning Star. that is printed for the outdated Trots, Marxists and Commies in our midst.
I find that all these Trots, etc etc are all well off people who live very good lives, They whinge and whine about poverty , I do not know one who has experienced poverty. Union bosses like Scargill, Mclusky and his dad, all live the lives of millionaires. So does Corbyn and Red Ken Livingstone. So I could never ever be a follower of people like that, fortunately I can think for myself and make my own decisions in life.
I was brought up in real poverty in the 1930s and we never whinged, we just got on in life, made our own decisions and got to where we are through hard work and not whinge about how life treats them while on £20,000 a year Plus, in benefits.
My poor old dad would never believe what people get today for not working. and they still whine about it.
Cheers Comrade.
