As this post has a large number of responses of different aspirations of certain parties, and as the word Democracy varies in different parts of the world by different countries, I would like someone to define the Australian version of the word. Most Australians say they are one of the leading lights of Democracy, in this statement they fail to accept the basic rules as I would see the word to mean, which is to appoint as leader who the majority of the populance consider should be in the seat of power. In the past few years we have 3 times seen the leader of such put out as P.M. on the words of a few back stabbing politicians and the able assistance of the gutter press.. In the recent ejection of the P.M. this was done on a majority of 8 or 9 politicians of very dubious manhood that is if they were men at all. The electorate is about 18 million I would imagine, so to me this is a very poor definition of Democracy and ranks alongside Egypt and some of the African countries and those of the Middle East. The normal and just procedure should be to go back to the electorate and vote again. Greece can do this and are supposed to be an impoverished country, so the excuse of costing too much money doesn't exist. Let Australia at least have the knowledge that their head of government is there by consensus of the public and not by 8 or 9 layabouts already sponging off the taxpayer. JS

All Politicians are bent and corrupt, that is why they are Politicians. They have access to power and money they could never achieve in a normal life.
and the only qualification needed is the ability to tell lies with out laughing.

Well it is 0930 and another fine day has dawned some time ago when I was fast asleep.
Looking at the posts I cannot see any comments from ex M.N. union members who are now to the right of Genghis Khan.
Prince Charles will also be disappointed when he reads the posts, not one in favour of him becoming King.
I raise my cup of coffee and say good morning to one and all.

I"m all in favour of him becoming King, Louis, unfortuanetly may make no difference to Australia as already the seeds of Republicism have been sewn by our make up of politicians. As to right or left which is just a term for money or no money I suppose, if they get rid of the ex union secretary at the head of the Labour party and put someone more acceptable to most, I will probably vote labour next time. The liberal party have shown to the country as a whole that is those unbelievers if there are any left, that politics is just swings and roundabouts and appearance is the most important factor, therefore it will be Labours turn by my reckoning. Going by slogans someone mentions the red flag which is quite appropriate as labour usually leaves power, with the country in the red, whereas apparentlty the liberal party just leave it now in the s**t. there seems to have been a miracle over the election of corbyn.Think about it.He was chairman of stop the war coalition which in turn is allied to socialist workers party.When labour were checking on new members and turning away tories did nobody have the brains to check on applicants who were members of these lunatic organisations who are far more dangerous to labour than the tories are

Reading Louis post #206 again, assume that another outburst from the press corps has done another job on Prince Charles. This hasn't reached my TV set yet so has probably been held up by the migrants trying to, and succeeding in getting into Europe. The only remark I could pass if such is the case then these columists who write for these papers, should be now renamed as fifth columists, Lord Haw Haw spoke with a straighter tongue than a lot of these *ankers.
