    Default Casbah

No mention then Marian, of the Casbah in Sfax (North Africa) where some of the off duty Legionairres from Sidi Bel Abbes used to take some RNR. Life in the raw. Now if they held their next summit meeting there, might learn a few things of how the world went round. Cheers JS

The few Casbah's they had then were real dives JS

But better than nothing I can assure you!
And not many of the Legionnaires got that long a time off anyway!

Those who went to those places did so under their own steam,as the Legion had their own Happy Places. And it was a lot cheaper and safer!

There were quite a few Red Light Districts as well that were visited on numerous occasions, and sadly there were Girls hardly 15 selling themselves!
Negresses with enormous statures (one had to be hard up for those)
There were other types as well, older French Women all washed out,but still got their business!
Some better types were the Spanish Girls who seemed to take more care!
    And so life went on.
    Cheers

I think Vernon re the washed out French ones were all prone to use Omo, not a very good advertisement for. Believe Cappy always tries to get back to the Casbah for his holidays he looks for the ones using Tide. Refuses the use of persil as reckons their slogan is race discrimatory. Cheers JS
