Re: Prince Charles Private Letters
I have had a great deal of respect for Prince Charles for many years. His father - who is also a caring person - sent him to Outward Bound school for his own sake, as he was a chubby, and rather inept schoolboy. Back around 1964 I had to lay a rather large concrete slab outside the science lab at Gordonstoun. The bell went for end of period, and there was a rush of boys, one of whom jumped the tape around my new slab, and left his footprints on it. "You young b****" I shouted, chasing after him, with the intention of kicking his backside. Then I saw his 'minder' step out from among the nearby trees, with hand inside jacket, and realised who it was! No harm done, and grins all round.

Re: Prince Charles Private Letters
I agree with you Braid, a lot of people do not give him justice. I met him and Dianna for a short period of time. Although he was 27 years younger then and has probably matured quite a bit since, there was very little side to him and should imagine he says what he thinks. He has every right the same as any other citizen to say what he thinks. He tries to speak man to man and has no airs and graces. He is an asset to the country as many don't realize. The Royal Family in general is what makes Britain what it is, different to a degree to some of the Republics scattered around the world. As regards his private life which was blown up out of all proportion, how many can say they have had only two women in their lives. I do not envy him his responsibilities and his lack of privacy. Cheers JS

Re: Prince Charles Private Letters
I consider it a good thing when a member of the Royal family shows interest in things that concern all of us. More power to his elbow.

Re: Prince Charles Private Letters
If Charlie is so concerned about his future subjects perhaps he should donate a few million from the billions he has accrued to build and equip a state of the art hospital somewhere in the country that has the greatest need.

Re: Prince Charles Private Letters
Ten out of ten to Prince Charles for his views.
It's a pity that the Guardian newspaper who took ten years of litigation to get the letters published hasn't taken the same time, effort and money to release the letters between ex PM. T. Blair and ex President Bush then the Chilcott Report can be released.
Just my point of view.
