[QUOTE=Ivan Cloherty;195112] Quite right Ivan a man that makes fine furniture,so if you were sent for an interview as an apprentice cabinet maker you would be expecting tobe taken under the wing of a cabinet maker and be taught that beautiful trade. But instead you would be shown into a factory given a cordless drill and set to work assembling flat packs of kitchen units. That was the point I wanted to put across Ivan,it's the use of the word apprentice, using kids to assemble flat packs when all it is is glorified factory work and should be given to an adult on the basic wage.

did nobody ever tell you that its easier to get a job if you have a job already. No employer is happy about hiring someone who has never worked and subjected themselves to the discipline of getting to work on time and putting in a days work no matter how menial the pay.
Anyone who wont take a job unless it pays what they think they are worth will never get a job.
John how long do you think I have been around.I reckon I have interviewed more people on this site than anyone,I have interviewed people in Nottingham,Leicester.Birmingham,Wolverhamton,The Potteries,Bolton and many in Liverpool of course. That is staff without the people I have interviewed applying for loans.Nobody had to tell me anything.

You would have to be pretty stupid not to know that it is easier to secure a job when you are still employed, did someone have to tell you that, I just thought it was common sense without having to be told.
