Re: The world's getting hotter?
The recent declarations of the pope the spiritual leader of millions makes one wonder. He has entered the Realm of climate change and backed Obama on his policies. This effectively says to me and the millions of others who listen to him as if it was coming from God himself, that he is partially distancing himself from the Churches teachings, for example that God created the world in 40 days and 40 nights, and that Noah sitting in his Ark with Cappy as 1st. mate did not exist. his teachings to some must now appear to have lost a lot of their credibility to those who wanted to believe him. His knowledge of worldy affairs must be getting above his ones from the Bible and Moses and his mob getting out of Egypt and the dead sea parting to let them through, maybe he now thinks that climate change was the cause. For any religious leader to enter the world of politics especially the likes of the pope whose only experience will have been as a lowly Church preacher and is now living in a different world, loses him a lot of creditability, that is if you carried his beliefs in the first place. its a pity other religions did not follow suit and scrub the 40 virgins and tell the truth that there is only 39. His knowledge of such wordly affairs I would say is less than the average 80 year old man. Cheers JS PS There is only 39 as cappy got shore leave near Mount Sinai and deflowered one of them. JS

There was a program (series) on the T.V. the other day all about Patagonia which looks like a great country. It has a number of active volcanos one of which deposited 5 feet of ash over a wide area in a couple of days so god only knows how much "pollutants" it had deposited into the atmosphere. The scenes of this volcano erupting and the ash cloud becoming so electrically charged with continuous flashes of lightening going on within the ash cloud was a scene that even the best Hollywood disaster movie would fail to replicate. Looking forward to the next episode where it explores Patagonia's wild life after watching one of the horseman tame and ride a wild horse within 3 hours from start to finish.

Some 265 million years ago a meteor hit the earth wiping out almost 95%of all living creatures on the planet. 10 Million years later the dinosaurs appeared. Some 6 million years later the disappeared thought to have done so as a result of another meteor hitting earth and creating an atmosphere where little could exist. I am of the opinion that most of this is political and the average person is so tired of hearing it all they do not bother to seek the facts.
