#10, Unfortunately as you say Jim there appear to be quite a percentage of young women without a shred of moral compass.
I only mention this footballer because of the hoo-hah in the media. Apparently he was the second of the night in question invited by the first! To whom she had agreed to.

We had a similar case here in Melbourne a couple of years back. High profile AFL footballer gets into strife with a girl. She had followed him around for some weeks and eventualy got him. But she was a bit silly and got herself 'potted'. The baby was born and she claimed the footballer as the father. He denined it all and depite DNA tests showing he was the father refused to pay. It went to court and the judge said two things.
You will pay the due amount of maintainance.
Lady, if you go out with a footballer or any other sports person and do not take the responsibilty of contraception then you must suffer the results of your passion.
She evenyualy made more money from TV interviews than anyhting else.

John Arton try Didier Drogba of Chelsea, any sportsman who can help to influence and bring a truce to his warring country is certainly worth looking up to in my mind. Add the fact that he has given millions of his own money to build and maintain a hospital in Abidjan, is a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations and a few years ago was named as one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine for his work in bringing peace to the Ivory Coast. I tend to agree with most peoples low views on modern footballers but also realise that there are some genuine heroes and role models.

I agree that there are a number of footballers who do excellent work for charities etc. but is their actions on the playing field that the public see and hear off and there are not many who could be held up as role models following some of those mentioned petulant and often aggressive actions.

John there is a whole generation of texters.
Cannot understand what kind of lives they live.What a waste of life.
I spent a lifetime of charging round the planet having adventures and Never ever needed to text anyone. I would not even know how to use one. or even want to use one.
I Do Not Have a mobile phone. never had one, do not need one.
My phone at home is hardly ever used.
and I live a very full life, I still have my adventures with out a lump of plastic to talk into.
So I guess these people must have extremely dull and miserable lives if they have to keep looking into a piece of plastic.
I think they are the most unsociable things ever invented. I went to a party a few months ago, all the kids were sat in the lounge of the house. each one had a piece of plastic in their hands tapping away. I said to one lad, "What are you doing ?" he said `I am texting him over there, [two yards away]. I said to the other one. he said I am texting him.
"Why dont you talk to each other ?? I said.
All the adults at the party were outside in the sunshine drinking and dancing.
We are breeding a whole generation of Morons.
I think they should all be banned , get people speaking to each other and using their intelligence for a change.
