There were several Remploy factories here in Scotland. Every single one of them was closed down. Not sure but I think it was the previous government that shut them down.

From what I've read here, I think my description of Lord Freud would be simply Waste of Space.

Lou, My good friend i was always a Labour voter all my life. But this Labour party of today in the U.K. Is not the flat cap labour party who fights for the working man anymore. In fact they know call themselves New Labour, To put it in a nutshell watered down Torys. UKIP has grown in strength over the last 5 years and has both Tory and Labour M P s defecting to join there ranks. They also are not the Labour party you and i voted for. But they will hold a referendum for the people of Britain in or out of the E.U. And will not be soft on immigration and free handouts to anyone who makes it into this country. This little island of ours can only take so much immigration lou, And i am not predjudice towards anyone, I say live and let live and hold christian values but when our youth cant get on the housing ladder or afford a home to raise a family because they cant get a decent days pay for a decent days work as we did because European immigrants are undercutting them and living 6/7/8/ people to a house and sending all there money back to were they came from. As i posted the other day someone asked how do we put the great back in Britain, Nigel Farage UKIP Leader answered the question for me in a T.V. interview.........................Take it back. Terry, same here in Oz, the so called Labor party is not what it once was. In fact if it continues with some of the current members then within ten years it will be a socialist left wing mob.
There have been attempts to remove upper houses here, will never work as no poli is ever going to vote himself out of the trough.
Workshops for disabled, had them and seen them go.
Any one here who is now half capable must do 8 hours per week, but do not have a problem with that as there are so many rorting the system.
Any one who is capable should do waht they can, it make sit easier for those in geunine need.
But go back to Wilson, B. Cartland was transport minister and she did not even have a driving licence.
It is becoming more and more apparent that western politics and politicians have screwed the voters once to often as I do not think that there is one democratic country that has full support of its people anymore. Was told as a teenager that communism does not have to do anything but wait until capitalism becomes so corrupt that all that is left is communism and looking at the bunch of penis heads that are running things can see that who ever it was told me this was spot on. Hope to be proved wrong but doubt it. As for those bleating do gooders that seem to pop up everywhere why the feck do they not look at the fact that there are about a million people within Australia that would willingly swap places with those parasites in dentention camps especially the mentally ill who this latest mob have turned their backs on. Three squares a day, roof over their heads and all medical while we have to side step past homeless begging on the street. Wake up Oz.
This guy has all the attributes required to be an excellent politician in this day and age
1. He has never had a proper job
2. He has never had to get his hands dirty doing any job {except from when cleaning out his paid for on expenses duck house}
3. Has the ability to put his foot in his mouth with fatuous statements
4. Has no compunction at drawing a huge salary without actually doing any useful and productive work
5. Have friends of a similar ilk in high places
6. The ability to open his mouth and make outlandish statements without checking to whom he is making these statements too
7. To be able to lie without feeling any regret

Yes folks he is todays epitome of the modern politician of any political persuasion and they all wonder why even at general elections there are small turn outs of voters!!!!
