    Default Titanic Building.

They have just added this dormitory type room to the Titanic Hotel,I myself can only see this with it's top bunks resulting in an accident.I imagine people booking this will be wedding parties and the likes, the ladders up to the top bunks look very dodgy to me and can you imagine people climbing up and down them during the night to go to the loo.Where is the Elf & Safety here.
    Regards.

I think the old SAILORS HOME would have been better.
The Dormitory in Gordon Smiths Institute for Seamen was only four shillings [20p[ a night with sausage egg and bacon and a mug of tea thrown in in the morning.
    .
Who puts out the light?? last one in bed after some have been turned in for 2 or 3 hours.
and the noise. all snoring grunting and farting, worse than the Glory Hole on the Queens.
only a few inches between beds and no where to hang your wedding suit.
    .
I think I will stay at the IBIS.

Thanks for the look in Jim.
    Cheers
    Brian

Thanks for that Jim, very interesting. Also has a look at the pictures showing Liverpool in the 1960s. By the way have you any idea as to why the thanks and like buttons have disappeared. Just curious.
    Regards
    John

No idea about the like/thank buttons John nothing has been said about them yet so maybe they will return when the update is complete.

    Hi Jim
Yes sure does look a wee bit dodgy those Ladders! Would not want to be with a great Hangover the next Morning getting out of the Top Bunks! LOL!
Falling off will just increase the headaches!!

That was a good post Jim especially liked black and white pics of the sixties.how things have changed especially how the style as changed see all them kids in pics all dressed neat and smart then look at the kids today see them in clubs and pubs there a scruffybunch of humanity.

Reminds me of a night I once spent in the seamns 'hotel' in Southampton. For some unknown reason the bed sheets had been starched, spent most of the night scratching.

That's about the only stiff thing in bed these days, is the sheets!
