They were not fights, just slight disagreements about a few things. Fights, Port Melbourne wharfies with iron bars and lumps of four by two, that was fights.

charlie, one night when walking down kent st. i was just passing a pub when 2 Ladies?????? seemed to appear from the door and had the most horific fight in the middle of the street, you can imagin there was hair, skin ,blood and clothing everywhere, although quite a few people gathered to watch, nobody tried to stop it.
I was bought up in a pub, in which we had sailors, soldiers and all types of ladies of the night who used to fight ,but nothing like that night in kent st. in sydney. the year was 1956 and sydney was quite a wild place.
