My wife does not drive and I do not like shopping. When we go to the supermarket I buy a paper and sit in the car while she goes inside.
If she hasn't come out by the time I have finished reading I people watch.
Have you noticed just how overweight and obese many people are becoming? Being fat is now regarded as normal.
Some of the women look like they have shoved two sacks of spuds down the back of their leggings.

Going for a cross country run now with Harry, my pet tortoise.

My daughter has to go to Therapy for her weight , and I sit parked outside the Doctor's surgery for an hour and a half , doing what Louis does " people Watching " sat in the driving seat , window down reading a magazine , you become invisible , and people seem to meet old friends at the surgery on their way in and out , I had to overhear the Gynaecological conditions of two elderly ladies last time , I now have the windo up and the radio loud , I would need therapy if I ever heard that again

It used to be that when we had visitors to New York from back home ,they would always mention how fat americans were . I guess they have got that way to now over there . I think we were fairly thin as too the rationing during the war years and low wages , My old Girl and I were recently on a cruise and felt as if we were the odd ones out , 80 % of the passengers were obese .I was afraid that if they all went port or starboard together the ship would list badly .I just hate too see obese people on a buffet line stoking up their plates .EEEK puke .

What a bloody boring world this would be if all of a sudden everyone looked the same. Just think how many unemployed statistions there would be not to mention health workers. Hope I am not around for when that happens. If it was not for the obese ones then the thin ones would look like crap. Vivas the difference. Just as an aside was looking in at the local hospital that was holding classes for those with heart complaints did not see one obese person amongst them. If you have no weight to lose then when you get ill it is downhill very fast.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.

Clothes should be priced on size, that may encourage a few to think about their weight, why should I pay the same for a suit as a bloke who is three times (and more) my size, I'm subsidising the material for his suit etc. Also when travelling by public transport or plane, I'd rather have a thin person sat next to me than someone overflowing into my seat. Always book an aisle seat, at least you'll have room on one side and be able to get out in an emergency

Good comment amigo there are always two sides to every view. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. People change, fashion changes and the world changes.
Still think though that Col. Sanders and Mr. Mac Donald have left a lasting legacy.

Obesity is measured by BMI (Body mass index) these days if I am correct but in the 70/80's when having my medical with the company doctor he used to measure the distance across your elbow joint and then, using your height, would refer to a table called something like "The London Medical Skeleton size" . This I think gave him your sketal frame. This table gave the optimum weight to skeletal frame size and allowed him to judge you as being overweight/obese. It was obviously a load of ******** as a mate of mine who was around 6ft 2" and if he stood sideways onto the sun, did not cast a shadow, was classed as obese by this quack.
