John, post 33, it is interesting as until we started using a insurance broker many years ago we were being shafted by insurance Co's. Once we & we were very fortunate with who we went to, all our insurances came down very substantially both biz & private. Unfortunately not too many people realise this & use them for their personal insurances when they should.
Possibly the brokers are hiding their light under a bush?
don't think theres much honour left in this country any more its certainly not the country I grew up init is run by wets on both sides of the coin and the truth is discipline of any kind is not even discussed abloody good dose of the birch makes the tossers think and hanging stops them doing it again a good shipmate of mine got birched or I think they called it caned in so Africa he said the most scary part before they whipped him was the doctor before they tied him to the buck saying im checking your heart to see if you can stand this affterthishe was sent back to the ship and would never go again ashore in south Africa he was a big shields lad who would have got in the ring with Tyson but told me that really scared 7 bells out of him my good mate in shields got sent to borstal for stealing pigeons 2 years but nobody in our crowd stole anything after thatif anyone says yes hes one of the hang and flog brigade yes I am and would bring it back tomorrow regards cappy
John if he isnt a citizen he shouldnt be allowed to make adverts here. They are always pushing away foreign nationals who come here to work. Or is it the usual case of 2 rules one for them and one for us. I would give him a 6 weeks visitor viza, and then tell him to leave. Cheers John Sabourn

.
. Dont send him back here John, send him to North Korea. That would sort him out.
Cheers
Brian.
John (Sutton), you may agree.
Brokers and agents are intermediaries. The difference is that an insurance broker is your 'agent' buying insurance on your behalf and has a duty of care at law to you, whereas the agent is selling the insurance to you on behalf of the underwriter (insurer). An insurance broker can be sued by you if he fails in his duty to you in protecting your interests and carries professional indemnity insurance to cover such actions as do doctors, accountants etc, etc.
Dealing direct with the insurance company has you much in the same position as with their agent.

John, sorry to correct you however it is not a house it is an apartment in Rose Bay, we have had dinner there once or twice. He does have family living in Aus though. He really only comes out to Aus for the cricket as well as summer months. Met him through a friend, used to have coffee with him in Double Bay frequently he always seemed Ok to us with a sense of humour. Not a raconteur of/as to his guests though. Has eyes like a blood hound (: Sorry he is so unpopular however many 'celeb's' do wanky questionable adds however some ensure they are never seen in their own countries, Sir Alec G was one so was Sir John G another.
We had the Rotan (cane) in Singapore. The body was bound to protect the middle section and an experienced strong man would apply the rotan across the buttocks. Not a punishment that is acceptable in most "civilised' countries but a most effective punishment and deterrent. As an old timer I am in favour of proper correction for bad behaviour rather than sending first (caught) offenders off to the costly criminal "universities" to better hone their skills.

The problem is that some adds are universal, that is made in one country but shown in many. A number of the Spice girls have done adds for Jenny Craig. You would be amazed at the number of British made adds we actualyu get here on TV.
