There are obviously some here who disapprove of the Mail. To balance the conversation somewhat I always read the Mail on Sunday. This usually takes at least 2 days to get through it all but it is definitely my favourite of the Sundays. Of course this is a personal opinion. However I don't think it particularly fair to pillory any one particular paper just because of political persuasion.
If we are honest we know that the whole of the Press industry has its faults and a lot of stuff gets printed with errors. The MoS always has a "corrections" section where they hold their hands up if something they have printed is proven to be in error. I assume that the daily version probably has the same.
Quite honestly Tony I have nothing against the Mail it was just a bit of banter on my behalf.What I do know is,we have a phone in here on our local radio station,from time to time people come on with story that may take a bit of believing,the presenter always asks "Did you read that in the Daily Mail" the answer is always yes.Many times it is checked out and found not tobe quite true.
Robpage,as a matter of interest regarding people in Liverpool not reading the Sun.I was in my newsagents the other day the shopkeeper said he does'nt sell 10 a day and yet his cousin has a newsagents in Birmingham the area has just been cleared of blocks of flats and his sales of the Sun are down by 200 a day.

Hi shipmates, my old shipmate Laurie was 15yrs old first trip {war time} and he knew many boys, who were younger than him who were at sea and still there. On leave he was refused drink in a pub and called names, why he had {No Uniform} This happen to many merchant seaman !!!!!!

Still no publishing of a letter opposing Mr Reynolds insults. I have already written to the Editor of the Daily Mail expressing my disgust at publishing such a letter and also the lack of publishing a response. But they will take no notice as they are too young to have suffered the privitations of war whether on land or sea or the homefront and their attitude is 'Whatever' or 'Can't be bothered' or 'So what'
It is sometimes a 'sad' world
