I always like to know where my food comes from.
I dont like foreigners messing around with my food.
Then Our country is now so full of foreigners it doesnt make much difference.

Corned Beef jokes anticipated, just ensure they are funnier than crude oil attempts:
Did you hear about the new restaurant on the moon? Great food but no atmosphere.
hi Keith, when all this first started Corned Beef came into my thoughts, but i never said anything as i thought , well that must be safe, just proves how wrong you can be,its disgusting we are sold food thats contaminated in some way. its fraud.
Hi shipmates, most of the food in the U.K. is made in a factory processed by machine, and lots of unskilled foreign labour, on low wages' I dont understand the papers /media running scare storys about this? the Fast food companys and supermarkets spend millons on adverts with them ,to tell us how good they food is, What we need is tough new laws to stop the fast buck merchants{This wont happen} no money for food testing
I sugest that if Everyone read the label the sales of processed and ready meal food would plummet , It is not just the E- Numbers , The fact that the processors stuff what was once regarded as unuseable waste inyto food , Whey protien , skimmed milk powder , all to bulk out food's protien content , salts and sugars in a variety of names , preservatives , colourings to make it look attractive , seaweed to give mouth feel , water because it is cheap .
Take water , Guar Gun , Carrageenan Gum , xanthan gum , skim milk powder , Whey powder , and you can make anything else out of it by adding salts , preservatives and Fructose , dextrose , sucriose , and Guess what , it will taste delicious

Sodium Hexaetaphosphate a chemical added to water to increase the solubility of certain ions and to deter the precipitation of certain chemicals. For example, it is used to prevent calcium from precipitating out of water and clogging pipes. Its thin, passivating film protects metals from corrosion. Used as a food additive and preservative.
Maltodextrin Maltodextrin is a flavorless, easily digested carbohydrate made from cornstarch. A natural, complex carbohydrate, it is not a simple sugar (dextrose, fructose, sucrose etc.) It can be derived from potato or corn starch; used in food industry such as sweets, drink, beer, ice cream, preserved fruit, milk powder, malted mild, cake, biscuit and bread, as well as in medicine, textile, printing and dyeing, paper making, casting and petroleum drilling; generally recognized as safe. Maltodextrin often contains Monosodium Glutimate (MSG), to which many people have an adverse reaction to.
Yeast Extract Yeast Extract is an often used synonym for Monosodium Glutimate (MSG), to which many people have an adverse reaction
I suggest that everyone reads the label
good info rob but it is very dangerous for we have a grand child that can't eat any nut product and you cannot trust the label what can you do we must have eaten horse meat for years and not known about it?jp
Mislabelled processed meat products have so far been discovered in the UK, the Republic of Ireland, France, Norway, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden and Germany. Suspicious products have also been withdrawn in the Netherlands as tests are carried out.

The supermarkets have been checking for nut free factories for years . We were not even allowed to sell chocolate bars with nuts in the canteen , what they never did was check the DNA , because the trail of paper was supposed to be true . I prefer food from the basic ingredients .
