Just another means of squeezing more tax money out of you John.
Cheers
Brian.
my tax days are over now brian{paid enough}jp
We all pay Tax John,
Everything you buy has 20% tax on it, so if you do not pay tax on your pension , you pay it when you spend it.
If you have a pint, taxed, a ciggy, Taxed, petrol Taxed, any kind of service , Taxed.
There is no escape, we are all Tax Payers.
If you got say £100 a week clear pension, when you buy things it is only worth £80 after VAT.
I have to pay tax on my MN pension, even tho` I bought and paid for it with my own money.
If I had never bought a Pension then I could claim some kind of Benefit. costing the Government money. You just cannot win here.
There is nothing more certain in life, Death and Taxes.
Cheers
Brian.
Could not walk for my takeaway:
Had an umbrella somwwhere last year:
Took advantage of free delivery: sad that others suffer, but got my crab claws, ribs and sweet and sour ?
Luckily not near a river and on pretty much high ground as are family in Wales, but updates country wise do show the worst and one death is enough, truly wish the best to all affected and hope all improves soon. Thoughts are with all that are rained out and flooded, truly:

Kieth now we are in for a cold spell so its not over yet below freezing is on the way i feel for the families that have lost everything and so close to christmas.jp
I Fear for all:
EVERY BEST WISH, SENT AND MEANT:
MAY ALL FUTURE WEATHER BE WITH YOU ?
K.
Has anyone noticed.
Since they started talking and taking action on "global warming and carbon emissions" the worlds weather has gone worse.
Before all that, we had ordinary good weather patterns.
So I think all this interference is the cause of what we are getting now.
Am I right or wrong. ???
Just my daft way of thinking.
Cheers
Brian.
Maybe the time has come for a rethink it is clear in some cases that new flood defences are working, Yet in others there not BBC news today flood defences coped with the rising water levels, Only for drainage systems being overwhelmed by ageing drainage systems that couldn't cope with the quantity of rainfall. I am sure there will be a brain out there that will not so much put the emphasis on holding the water back { Let it flow} But come up with a little more than a few sandbags to keep the houses dry, Some kind of water tight shuttering that can be adapted on these houses that are at risk. With insurers not only refusing people cover but if you are living on these flood plains you can expect your premiums to rocket. So for one initial out lay in a defence adapted for your home may be a more attractive logic !!!!!!!!!! I am surprised knowone hasn't thought of this idea before. You cant hold back nature just like we at sea couldn't in atrocious storms but you can batten down the hatches and ride the storm. And of course not only keep yourself dry, feed yourself, but live to tell the tale. Regards all Terry. p.s. {Tony plz don't delete this could turn into a patent and a small fortune for us both Terry.} :vacation4:
I heard that David Cameron has now gone on record as saying that the Government will do a deal with the Insurance Companies to ensure that those who are being flooded do not lose out and that premiums will not escalate out of control. Would be good to be able to believe that he is true to his word and does it sooner rather than later.
