Hi John.
In todays paper here in Sydney.
Taxpayers face a $1Million bill for a charter flight to deport a British killer after he refused to leave Australia, spitting on passengers, abusing crew and attempting to urinate in the aisle during two aborted comercial flights this week, the Gov't had so far spent ten airfares trying to get him out of the country,
Kieth David Herring has been so stubborn about his deportation to the UK since his release from jail three months ago that Canberra is considering chartering a special jet to fly him to London.
Herring 66 spent 22 years in jail for killing his wife, in an interview with the Telegragh yesterday he admitted for the first time that he had killed his wife. I believe this is the case where he came to Australia as a child but never became an Australian citizen.
God knows how we are going to get rid of the boat people.
Cheers Des

This is not a problem exclusiove to UK. Similar problems here as well. Once they are in the country there is not a lot can be done as if they are classified as refugees or asylum seakers they cannot be sent back to their country of origin. That is why so many here are opposed to them coming by boat, no papers we have no idea who they are or where they came from. The only one we have got rid of lately went of his own accord when he was sprung by the police and subject to some charges, he got out first.
Happy daze John in Oz.

hi Gulliver, so far OK, apart from the weather, lots of heavy rains in the afternoons, with thunderstorms, but it cools the air, i must be out of practice wih the Tropics, went out the other day , thought i was going to melt, that was around 1 pm, Better to go to the shops earlier, big Malls are all Air Conditioned, as are the taxis, well i hope the UK is not doomed, the point i was making was those Riots and Looting were so unexpected, never experienced that befor in UK, Not on that scale, sad for the younger generation, with so many unable to find work, when they should be gradually climbing the ladders to promotion and better prospects, they will still be at the bottom of the pile in there mid twenties, my teenage years were spent learning new skills in many jobs, with better pay each time, moving up from an old banger of a car to something nice, these teenagers are missing a lot because of no work for them. many have degrees, must be so frustrating. best wishes, Tony W.

Would you not think.
Yes I would think.
By the time we decide to do something about this,
we will be appealing to a fully ****** government.
So where will we progress from there.
I, thankfully, will not live long enough to witness this,
but I despair for my grandchildren who will have to
live in a heathen society.
I have told them all to get qualifications and get the
hell out of Britain.....Canada, Australia or New Zealand.
Anywhere out of Britain.
Unluckilly one is serving with the Royal Welsh Regt. in
Afghanistan and the other is in the Royal Navy.
They have obviously chosen their path and will not
abandon the Old Country... what can I say.
