    Default Petrol Rip Off

I see that the Tax Payers Alliance are demonstrating at petrol stations today to make people aware just what the goverment tax is on petrol. When it is put in figures like this it certainly does seem to be a rip off and way over the top. When you purchase £30.00 of petrol the tax on that is £18.00.A guy was saying he lives in Dubai where a gallon of petrol is 30pence.

It is a Rip Off Jim, Blame the government and also the Greens for all that, green taxes is just another way of banging up taxes.
They want you off the road so there will be more space for their Tax Payer paid for cars and petrol,
So they bang up the price of rail fares so you free up more space on the train so they can travel in more comfort on their Tax Payer paid for travel expenses.
Our Employees, the Gov, and MPs are holding us all to ransom.
last time I was in Dubai it was 5p a gallon, which was realy a service charge.
    Cheers
    Brian.

We are conned in all directions, petrol is traded in $, in the last few weeks the pound has been gaining against the $, at the same time petrol has been increasing at the pump, a rip off. The government is taxing large cars heavily, have a look at what car you see the next ministers jump into, bloody great daimlers etc. Every time they increase the tax on petrol, the cost of living rises at the same ammount. They have already wasted all the income from North sea oil, makes me sick KT

    Default petrol rip off

No point in complaining, nothing ever happens, the motorist is the Goose that lays the golden egg, Fuel Duty, Road Tax, soon road Tolls, Fuel Duty going up again after Christmas, never goes down, could have had cheap fuel and gas if not all sold off, the money we use to buy fuel has allready been taxed, a member on this site signs off by saying , i quote, A NATION OF SHEEP BEGETS A GOVERMENT OF WOLVES, am afraid thats what we are, Cameron and Co only know how to take, never give. and they get better at it all the time. road tax was for for road maintainance, only about a third is spent on that, the rest disappears, dont know what the answer is, they are trying to invent a reliable electric car with long range, if they do and the goverment lose tax on fuel, they will tax the electricity u use in the car, so we cant win.

I saw on the TV News today the UK Government for the month of July spent £600,000,000 more than it recieved in taxes. A Deficit.
Now a little school girl could figure that one out. ... If you give Europe several millions of pounds a month , If you give 185 countries around the planet £BILLIONS of pounds, then there sure would be a Deficit.
If we borrow £BILLIONS from the IMF to give away and then pay it back PLUS Interest then there sure would be a Deficit.
So having been Educated at ETON and Oxbridge Universities, and cannot do Maths, why are they allowed to look after our finances.?
If they did not squander all this money by giving it to all the Bums and stiffs of the world, we would all be laughing now.
low taxes, cheap petrol, Excellent health service, and good schools where they teach good Maths.for future Politicians.
    Cheers
    Brian.

    Default tax tax tax

Hi shipmates, If you dont pay tax at the pump for your fuel, All car owners are government cash cows insurance road tax and M.O.T. all have gone up . The mega rich tax dodgers and many big companys and greedy bankers would have to pay they fair share? {this will not happen} and we would be left with less jobs in the U.K.and all the heavy industry would go over seas' sorry this has happen allready!!! So pay the tax untill you bleed, dont try to drown your sorrows down the pub ,the taxman is in your beer over 33% tax you cant win.

Am afraid only drastic action can change things, but what ? a million teenagers have no work, and no prospect of any, the Goverment talks in riddles, saying get off the dole go to work, what work, ? tax revenue must be getting less each week with job losses, yet they still give millions in aid ,

    Default radical change needed

Unfortunately nothing will ever change until the general public wake up to the fact that only a completely radical change in government at the next election needs to be voted in. Whether Cons, Labour or lib Dems get in next time it will still be the same. None of them have come up with any answers or solutions. Labour proved they are incapable as the last government and the cons are doing exactly the same this time round with a little dubious help from their coalition partners. The country needs radical reforms as do so many others. The problem is though that it will never happen unless voting becomes compulsory and everyone actually puts their cross on the ballot papers. Anyone who thinks that it will be any different in 5 years time is just plain naive in my humble opinion.
