I have to agree with Tony regarding the attitude of some to those of us less fortunate than others. I do up to 5 half days a week as a volunteer in the local Community Health centre. One of my duties is driving the less fortunate to medical appointments, hospital or clinics etc. I was asked one day by a perfectly able person why do I do it? I told him,
There are those of us more fortunate, or able than others, and it costs me nothing to offer some comfort to those people. The day may well come, and I hope it never does, when I may be in need of such assistance, and I hope at that point there maybe someone like me available. None of us know waht tomorrow amy bring, look after your fellow man, you may well need him some day.
    Happy daze John in Oz.

The thing is John that we very rarely see electric bikes in the UK and so we don't know much about them, but there are an abundance of Mobility Scooters.

    Thanks Tony.

Now, today I saw another mobility scooter, driven by a guy with earphones on, connected to his I Pod which was attached to his handle bars, knew it was an I Pod because it was the same as my granddaughters. He was singing along to something which was totally intelligible but sounded like a cat with its family jewels caught in a mouse trap. He was obviously enjoying himself very much. He wacked the side mirror of a parked car, scared a poor old mongrel dog to death and wizzed an orange off a green grocers pavement display as he went past. Everyone around just took it in their stride and smiled, nobody complained. He vanished into the shoppers parting them like Moses parted the Red Sea at a speed best described as iffy.

There is a big push with electric bicycles here just now. But for the life of me I cannot see the point, what exercise do you get if a motor turns the pedals?
