Default Good to be among friends

Am I glad to be among friends here on the British Merchant Navy Forum. I had cause to post on the PPRuNe (Professional Pilots rumour network) since I had at one time had something of a flying career in Royal Navy helicopters. I needed some information originally regarding the passenger aircraft the Comet and that I was writing a book. On completion of the book I posted an excerpt from it on there but it was something of a mistake since all they seemed intent on doing was find fault with it, picking on a couple of minor spelling mistakes. The only good thing that came out of it was that the journalist Dan Entwisle actually read the book as a consequence and said he enjoyed it. I won't go near the forum again and now when I next have cause to fly on an airline I will always wonder what sort of people we have up front. Competent maybe.......

    Default spelling mistakes

Wouldnt worry about spelling mistakes, we all hit wrong keys sometimes. Looking at present generation they have no need to talk, as surprised some can spell their own name. Cheers John Sabourn.

    John,

Spelling mistakes can be used for all sorts of things. They are unimportant, when it suits!
