    Default The Cheapest and Dearest Pint.

    I just mentioned before on another thread that I had been out and had a couple of pints of John Smiths.I pay £1.90 a pint,one of the lads said he went to visit his son somewhere and was paying £3.40 a pint.I just could not imagine paying that kind of money for a pint I think that I would go on the wagon.I normally have six pints call it £12.00. todo that where some of you live would cost near enough £20.00.some difference!!!!!And by the way there are cheaper places in Liverpool than the £1.90 that I pay.So lets hear where we can get the cheapest pint and where we are getting ripped off for the dearest pint.
    Regards.

    I know its not quite relevant here Jim, but a pint of ale in Norway costs £6.00 plus. At those prices I really would go teetotal. Mind you they do get paid the wages to counteract the high cost of living there.

    Default Viva espana:

    My friends from STAVANGER, can visit London and think it cheap, then holiday in Spain etc later, my two weeks years ago saw my entire intended holiday spend gone in day's and a visit to the bank for more;

    One of the blokes was the night club manager he got so pissed one night, he forgot to go to the night safe: The Norwegien OLD BILL, woke him up at his home in the morning, would have been years later in the UK.

    A weekend in Bergen - where it always rains, (Went for the Foot Ball) saw one of our merry band, carted off by the fuzz (Painfull) They just let him kip in a police car and returned him to our custardy prior to our flight back to STAVANGER.

    Different world: Different prices.

    Hiya Jim,
    I live in Dover, which isn't the cheapest place to drink,in my local five minutes away from me John Smiths bitter is £3.20 a pint and I believe it is going up today to £3.40. Needless to say I don't drink in there any more but I go into town and can buy John Smiths for £1.80 in the Funky Monkey which in the evenings is a young 'uns pub with all these silly drinks Alcopops and Cocktails etc.. To get people in during the day he drops his prices, he also has a loyalty card on a Tuesday which he clips every pint you buy, when you get six clips you get a free pint. In the Eight Bells, a Wetherspoons pub, up the road John Smiths is £1.99.

    I went to a funeral in Essex a few weeks and paid £3.60 for John Smiths.

    In Manchester, where I am from, I'll bet it will be even cheaper than £1.80. I haven't been up for a few years.

    All the Best.........Alec.

    In Boltonistan I pay £2.54p for a pint of Boddintons.
    In Australia a Month ago I was paying over £6 .00 for a pint of Tooheys New.
    A bottle of Hardys Wine Chardonay around £7.00 to £10.00 a bottle, in Sainsburys the same bottle of Hardys £3.99 and that had been shipped 12,000 miles.
    In Australia I would turn TT.
    In Singapore I was also paying around £6.00 a pint of Tiger. A Singapore Sling in Raffles Long Bar .£13, 00p or $26. Sin.
