Bothed berthed Pier Head Liverpool Regards Chris Terry.
.
Hi Terry,
Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth both had LIVERPOOL on their sterns but never ever came to Liverpool.
I stayed on QUEEN MARY, in Long Beach CAL. in March and she still has LIVERPOOL on her stern.
.
Now the new Queen Mary 2 and the new Queen Elizabeth have both been to Liverpool but used to have SOUTHAMPTON on their sterns but now have HAMILTON painted on. I have sailed on both ships and now under Bermuda flag.
.
. Thanks for the link, it shows the Queen Mary as she is in Long Beach on those Pages at the end. She is in beautiful condition, far nicer than the new Queen Elizabeth. She is well worth a visit and stay. I have stayed many many times
and love every minute, superb accommodation and restaurants and bars. and an interesting maritime museum.
and not expensive.
,
Cheers
Brian.

But there are amny ships that are registered in porst they will never ever visit. Most of the cruise ships are registered in Hamilton etc but never go there. Flags of convinience is now how the shipping industry works.
Happy daze John in Oz.

Isn't that the truth! But who else inflates the national figures by the insidious method of allowing the flag to be used for the price of taking a cadet and Tonnage Tax and at the same time criticise perceived FOC at every opportunity.
