if the price goes down it may be because it has a shelf life and is coming close to its end date ,here in Fla I buy beer for $15 a case of 24 .but if its close to the end date it goes down below that ,so I stock up . at 4 a day have to watch for sales .(blimey there,s one I,m off to the store )tarar der lads
I pay £3.00 a pint for Guinness here in the South , so the Supermarket wins every time for the same money I can get two and a half pints in cans
I pay 65cents(€) for a litre bottle of Argus beer in my local Lidl & €5.49 for a bottle of Gin here on the Costa Blanca, no wonder me liver is shot.
well lewis i just like them sol mexican beers thy dont blow your head off and they taste the same all the time......but sometimes they are 14 quid a case in morrisons .....other time 10 quid and sometime 2 cases for 16 quid ....when the bloke who services the beer isle sees me coming he scarpers .....i no its not his fault but somebody has to take the flack ...regards cappy
My younger brother, ex Master Mariner then Master Brewer, had a Brewery in Liverpool, and last week he came over for my Birthday, his birthday on same day, and brought a barrel of Real Ale, 36 pints. He sold it, It is now owned by the Liverpool Pale Ale Company. But he still gets his ale at cost. as he is still on the pay roll.
works out at about just under 90 pence a pint. Good strong BRITISH Real Ale. No stupid chemicals in it. Does you good as well. Much better than that European crap.
Just finished the last of it.

HI Cappy.
I was talking to my son about the beer prices here, he said when he started work [as a bank teller] 25 years ago he could for a weeks wages buy 900 schooners of beer, he now works in a shop and for a weeks wages he can buy 300 schooners, what does that show wages haven't kept up with beer prices or beer prices have gone up faster than wages.!!!!!!
Cheers Des
The fact is that here in Oz beer sales are down, more are now drinking spirits or wine.
