Default Just a warning to ALL

This is not a for sale or anything, its just a warning that i want to post , from a Member who has been hit with Unwanted Subscriptions.
Hope that he can sort things out!
    So keep a watchful Eye

    Trophyminer

Hello Doc. Recently i purchased a M.N. badge online. the badge was duly sent and i paid around $10 postage to a company called Trophy miner. So far so good. the company asked if i wanted to subscribe which i ignored. Now, a month later i heard from them again to let me know that they had just taken $68 monthly subscription from my account. I am just about to embark on a journey to regain my lost monies, wish me luck with that! I wonder, have you heard of similar cases? Nice scam, can you put it out there and also let me know of any developments. regards Bob Rowson. R.785766

If you let the Bank know what has happened, they will get the cash back for you.

Use PAYPAL for all online purchases in future and be problem free.

Had a similar problem last year.
They took it from my credit card.
Told the bank, card canceled and new one issued, also got all the monies with interest paid back.
Only problem was that I had to notify all my direct debit accounts about new card number.

But it is the only way to stop it.

For most things such as this I would use Pay Pal but could not on this occasion.

I use Paypal and have no problems. When I set it up I had to register it with my bank account which I did to the number one account. Also had to give credit card number which I did. I then cancelled that credit card and got a new one with new number. Kept getting requests to update my credit card number to them for about six months. They gave up on that so now Paypal is only linked to an account that has nothing in it. So when I make a purchase I make sure that I transfer the said amount into the number one account. Been doing this for years now and confident that if a scam artist cons me they will get bugger all out of Paypal for sure. Do not know if this of any use to members but it is out there now for anyone thinking along these lines.
That's the way the mop flops.

My thanks to Brian for this site.

Victoria, we like you have been getting a number of calls of late.
All claim to be from Telstra saying if you wish to continue with Telstra press one, if not press two.

Easy to pick as scams and put the phone down.
We use iinet not Telstra and the Phillopine voice is a dead give away.

    My wife fell for one.
On face book they were selling CVD oil.
Free sample just pay postage .
Along came the sample and a cream
On the Visa bill was this funny withdrawal
As she could not remember I held back.
At the time she was buying plants , plants ,plants. so on the visa bill I noticed £65 and £69 .
Next month same again so we got on to Barkley Card.
The man cancelled our cards and issued new ones.
Then told me that they would send me a form fill it in and when sent back
    they would look into it
Three days later I got e mail stating they have given me a credit of £268.
Seems this scam was run from a food shop in London.
Now Mary Berry the tv presenter says they have been using her profile to advertise this stuff with her not knowing .
So full marks for Barkley Card.
In Uk the law state's that anything your receive thro post you did not order and posted to you personally is treated as a gift. Therefore you need not pay, but keep it
The same stuff on Amazon is only £20.
My sister in Canada tells me that this cam is rife over there and Feds are working on it f

I had this one this week, guy said your homeserve insurance is due for renewal, and because you have not had a claim this year your premium reduced from £21 to £14, you can renew now, yea i bet, we do not have that insurance. If i had been mug enough to give him my card number, he would have been well pleased, and straight in., kt
