    Default ss Devon

I was on her when Churchill died, what was strange she was built with a AA gun emplacement over the steering gear house, however the gun was never installed as it was commissioned in 1946, being a steam turbine the engine room noise was awful, no ear protectors issued in those days or needed to do your job.

Living in Calgary we have the mountains & foothills, so haven't needed a cruise up the inside passage, but understand its awesome.

Great place to start, enjoy the city, foothills, Kananaskis P.P. & onwards through the mountains, it seems many Europeans start in Calgary as you only pay 5% tax, B.C. it is 12% on a rental.
