Granddaughters
Is it Granddaughters or Grand daughters?
Regardless my two will be here on Monday for 2 weeks. Apart from face time phone calls (thank god for technology)
It is just over a year since we last had the pair of them here.
Excited , yes , buzzing .
Thing is do I spoil them or not!!!!

Re: Granddaughters
James, my grandchildren are in Perth WA but we do manage to visit them and they have visited us.We have a camera portal mounted on our large screen tv , and they have one on their tv.we can see and speak to them live like whats app and it can move around the room the dogs from both ends love it.However there is nothing to compare with a live visit.I am shure you will all have a great time together.Nothing like grandchildren to keep you on your toes.

Re: Granddaughters
Well at our ages, i guess that most of the Grand Children are now mostly Grown, so not the old days of cuddling and running around with them, LOL But still lovely to have any around for visits.
I sadly have a few that are quite far away, but have at least got to see them over the Years.
We do have two younger ones though here quite near, from my Sons Second Marriage, the young Lass now only 9 and just received her Yellow Belt in Karate, with her older Brother at 13 also receiving his 4th Dan Belt in Karate. So making a good go of it they are. Very Proud of then !
So yes great to have them all, and now on top of all of them, we are now sitting on 3 Great Grandchildren, with a 4th not fat off !
Cheers
Gosh i would never in my wildest dreams have thought that i would ever see this happen in my Wild Wild past life!
The Lord has been Good!
Cheers

Re: Granddaughters
I had the biggest surprise of my life from my Grand daughter last Xmas, she has never been out of Aus, but she sang Sauspan Fach right through in Welsh, mind you she is 34 and learned it off the net, but we were all stunned.

Maybe a hint she wanted a bigger saucepan Des next birthday. My daughter was 61 yesterday just seems like yesterday I was the same age. 2 of the grand daughters getting married early next year and neither youngsters like we were as both pushing 30 , we live in alien times . Can your granddaughter sing we”ll keep a welcome in Welsh and use the bigger saucepan to prove it ? Cheers JS

Re: Granddaughters
My granddaughters are still children eldest is 10 and youngest 6 my son is 38 so in modern terms he was an old dad.
These days in a lot of places if you are not a mum or dad by 16 you are either Gay!! Ugly or Transgender. Or maybe just sensible and take the proper measures to avoid an unwanted pregnancy.
