HI am trying to trace any members of esso birmingham in 1958 for my father in law james {jimmy} garnett who was deck hand. He also worked on boats from shipping co smiths of cardiff as well as few cruise liners. thanks brian cope

Anyone still around remember the Esso Syracuse which was a Panamanian flagged T3 type ? 1950/51

Masters name was Jones . We did WIndies,Argentina then Ras Tanura -Japan with aviation spirit for USN in Korean War. Long trip shore leave totalled about ten hours in as many months, Didnt have a haircut in all that time.....

Looking for any info on my deceased father Thomas Allan Frankland who was on the Cadillac 3rd Engineer. I have recently found his discharge book and he was on the Cadillac 15 Oct 1951 to 6 Feb 1952. It was his last shop before he left the service.

Its a long shot but you may have sailed with him. Either way I hope you are well and taking good care of yourself

Hello William. Nice to meet another Esso man.. A bit after my time though, although I was on the Winchester, and I would think that the Portsmouth was obviously the rebuild after she exploded.

I spent some time in various Esso ships,in the early 50's. Most of them were T2s. Many of them under the Panamanian flag. Before the time of you youngsters I guess. They were pretty good ships. T2s weren't comfortable though.
