    Smile m.v. " DUMURRA" 1974

    Hello all ex Elders people I was just wondering if anyone is on line who sailed on "Dumurra" in 1974 when I was Purser and sailed with my wife Maureen on the West Coast - States "run" have a signed Menu of a St. Patricks Day Dinner onboard at sea and a photograph of a number of us at "Your Father's Mustache" in Greenwich Village, New York.

    I never sailed on that ship either, but spent many a time in your fathers moustach in grenwich durring my flying days, gott some wonderful memories of some of those nights and ugly ones too from drinking to many of those jugs of beer

    Hello Bev,
    Thanks for your reply, what ships did you sail on at this time? we may have sailed with some of the same people as I was with Elders from 1969 until 1975 when I moved to Palm Line. I can still remember some of the people from other ships I sailed on during this time.

    Default Salvina

    Hi all, I need your help. I am trying to track down some old shipmates / photos for my Dad as a surprise for him. I have very limited information, so I am really hoping someone out there can help; this is what I have;
    My Dads name: William (Bill) Law
    Ship: M.V. SALVINA
    When: Joined after his navy training on 24th Feb 1964 until he got leave in Hamburg Germany on 3rd June 1965
    Ship Captain: The Captain of Salvina was D.Archibauld (a stonch Hearts football supporter I believe)

    PLEASE let me know if you can help me:Using My Email Here

    Have changed your email address to a link for your security Bill. Can never be too careful on a public forum. Tony

    Hadn't checked this site for a while but just have. Well remember 'Dad's Tash'. Anyone out there remember the 'College of Complexes' another favoured 'Village haunt' back in the late '50s early '60s?

    Chris, am I right in thinking you and I were on the Dunkwa together? I was on Dunkwa and Dumurra, around 1970 to 1972, as radio officer.
